  • yakhh, wood looks much better

  • how did you do the shift knob

  • Looks so much better.

  • Looks so much better.

  • how much cf wrap did you use? what was the measurement when you ordered it? thanks

  • @ foleygac dude your car looks amazing. two things. when you say prep the the surface. could you give a briefly detailed explanation and i was browsing through your videos but could not find the shadowline conversion actual video. thanks and great job on everything on the car

  • @ib1p I didn't do a video when I did the window trim. I had a hard time doing it and I made a lot of mistakes the first time around. The trim prep consists of sanding the trim lightly to rough the surface up and I used alcohol wipes to clean off any dust and grease that would prevent the adhesive from bonding with the surface.

  • I want this video on my F951 phone.

  • Was this very expensive? Was it easy to install? How well does it hold up?

  • @JUSTADDCHEESE Around $70. And it's held up well. The key to making it stick for a long period of time is preparing the surface correctly.

  • ...Those stickers are more expensive then some of the real carbon fiber fabrics.

  • @Silverjda I spent $70 for 2 square yards, glue, and sandpaper to prep the surface. Pretty cheap.

  • @foleygac 70 bucks can get you 3 rolls of 1 yard by 1 yard of cosmetic carbon fiber

  • I love wooden interior trim, but everytime I see it in any newer car it's too reddish and plasticky looking (Even if it's REAL wood)! In the case of this car, the CF trim definitely looks better, nice job.

  • did you buy the 1 Yard = 55" Wide x 36" Long for your car?

  • @Lilbabbiejo3 I ordered 2 yards if I remember correctly. I ended up using this material on additional trim and other projects.

  • @foleygac thank you

  • This costs anywhere form 120 to 180 euros where i live.. my friend needed 1 afternoon and it looks the same.. and he saved ALOT of money

  • Awesome job! Has a real M-Series feel to it now!

  • good job!!

  • carbon fibre wrap is an excellent way to hide scratched and damage to car interior panels!!!

  • good job it looks great

  • just ordered a kit at neffy wrap hope its what I paid for =P ..looks good man

  • did you take out the trim peace by peace out of ur car? cause some places are hard to get to while the trim is still in.

i just ordered some of di-noc stuff for my audi b7 and im thinking of taking the trim out before i start doing it cause the piece above my steering wheel goes across the whole car :/

  • I preffer Shiny 3M Carbon

  • do you have any vids of u installing the hole thing if u do u shold give me a link or something

  • I have the same exact car and was wondering what size sheet you ordered

  • Maybe cheap but looks effective and a lot better than the wood trim. Good job on that mate, looks nice!

  • Cheap imitation

  • loooks great good work

  • Wow , nice !!!

  • Guys i just did this to my E39, IF you want the BEST OEM look then get the neffy wrap and coat it with glossy clear aerosol Lacquer. Mine looks stunning and ill be making a video soon. then it truely looks oem.

  • @christian821987 And by season I mean year. The material stayed perfect during the summer but I prepped the trim with light sanding and wiped it down with rubbing alcohol to remove dust and grime. Proper prep is 50% of the battle.

  • @foleygac That's an awesome job man!!! Is that Neffy or Neffty Wrap.com?

  • @foleygac I see it in your description...thanks alot for the video!

  • @christian821987 The material has held up very well over the last season. The biggest factor is the adhesive you use. Durability wise the fabric is waterproof, stainproof, and extremely durable.

  • how dose the material coap with the heat in the summer time?

  • great job men, great job, I want to do the same to my car but I need some materials

  • @RayPRA Thanks man. Look at 3M Di-Noc over the Neffy Wrap I used. It's self adhesive and it works really well with a heat gun.

  • @RayPRA I won't ever get rid of my E39 if I don't have to. I still want to do some sweet stuff with it so there will be plenty of more to come. Just taking a break from it for now as I get situated with work and living on my own. I'm just in an adjustment phase right now.

  • @Foley, send me a PM aswell i want to know how to do that aswell the carbon looks much nicer and will help update the cars look

  • @Loecked I will send you one as soon as I can. I'm working 60 hours a week so it's pretty tough. I might make a video on how to properly wrap trim piece instead. It's pretty easy and it's all in the prep work. Definitely look into using 3M Di-Noc as it's a self adhesive and it's easier to work in comparison to Neffy Wrap.

  • @foleygac Awesome, lemme know when you can i can understand you working 60 hours a week in this economy.. but keep up the great work on the e39 even though i see you got the 2011 m3

  • how did u get it so perfect??

  • @terminator2836 Alot of work. I actually redid a few pieces because I didn't like how they came out. Definitely invest in a heat gun and some good spray glue. Also, when wrapping the pieces it's important to let the glue tack up before you lay down any fabric.

  • when you take the wood trims off the doorr how do you glue it back on ?

  • @FlyPanda818 The trim is not glued to the door. It's held on with plastic tabs. Simply remove the trim and then put it back on after wrapping it.

  • @foleygac oh alright thx and how about the wood trim around the stick shifft is is that glued? how do i take it out can you send me like a tutorial where you looked it up

  • @FlyPanda818 The trim on the shifter is not glued. I will send you a PM on how to remove the shifter and how to take it apart.

  • @foleygac okay thx alot bro

  • how much did everything cost and were did u get it all bro

  • @BBBBRYAN7899 I think I paid like $70 for 2 square yard and the spray glue. I ordered it from Neffy Wrap. Look in the info section below the video and the link is right there.

  • @foleygac you did a GREAT job, did u remove any part of the wood trim and just incase of anything is removable?

  • @BBBBRYAN7899 Thank you! I removed all of the trim from the car including the trim on the center console (that required work but it's pretty straight forward) so I can wrap it tightly. I would not recommend trying to wrap the trim while it is installed.

  • @foleygac how did u know how remove the trim of your car and when the carbon fiber is installed can u remove it?

  • @BBBBRYAN7899 The trim on the doors pops right off as well as the trim on the dash. Removal of the center trim requires some effort and it's too much for me to explain here but you can find that info at most online forums.

The fabric is removable but you will be left with lots of glue residue. If you are not 100% sure this is something you want to do with your trim in your car I recommend using 3M DI-NOC as it is self adhesive and it does not require spray glue.

  • @BBBBRYAN7899 so it would be able to pop rite back on then, and is there any way i can break it, im sorry for all the questions.

  • where can i get that trim? I hate my wood interior trim. Also, were the glue and instructions included with your trim set?

  • @swizz85 There are no instructions with the kit but it's just a matter of prepping the trim properly and then simply wrapping it. It's a very easy process. You can order the glue and the vinyl at neffywrap's website. Just Google it.

  • This is legit! I love the Di-con 3M whatever stuff.

  • How easy was this to do? I have a 2003 540 e39.

  • @HyeRacer It was fairly easy, just need to make sure the surface of the trim is cleaned and prepped properly before you wrap it. In my case I sanded the finish down so the glue would have a better base to hold on to.

  • Dude thanks so much ur a life saver!!

  • @jgood123 No problem...glad I could help.

  • Much better than wood :)

  • @WuzieRap Anything is better than wood.
