  • So proud this is my family's language. <3

  • I think the syriac script is the worlds most beautiful writing system

  • Proud to be Christian

  • since i'm Arab and majority of people in middle east speak Arabic i feel we have to create schools around Arab world to teach the history and importance of different Semitic language especially Aramaic

if only Arab and whole middle east are less paranoid about religions and other silly minor differences......................

  • @HotTop202

  • @axatoramus the latest found that Arabic language founded between Iraq and Syrian!

  • I am Lebanese, Muslim , but I wish Lebanon was more Aramaic and less Arabic !!

  • aramian is not asyrian or not babylonian is other language too ???!!

  • @acherchar4 right! Assyrian and Babylonian are different dialects of Akkadian. And Aramaic is a sister language of Akkadian, just like French and Italian, or Arabic and Hebrew etc

  • Stop trying to trivialize the accent. Hate to break it to you but there are many semitic languages and accents all around. Arabic is very young, period, get over it and stop nationalizing everything.

  • @jonny7748 hi there my dear! i'm Arab and i have to apology about the ignorance of my people :) some Arab do have no clue about Aramaic language which is ironically consider the father of Hebrew and Arabic ,i hope you don't hold hurt feeling to Arab since actually most Arab schools and governments never taught us about Aramaic language but many Arab who know the real history will be happy to study it including me :)

hope there will more Aramaic schools in future across middle east

  • @shypolar You are very sweet and I apologize for the bad in my so called ilk what ever that is in Israel/Palestine. We are all mostly idiots and need to learn humility a bit more to say the least. Sad people won't just read about archaeology. My cousin's husband was a prominent archaeologist in Israel and I have studied linguistics as a hobby for over a decade :-). I think people in here would hate to learn that people on the ground mostly get along very well and care regardless.

  • @jonny7748 dude i'm confused what are you ? XD anyway i wish if people will care more about Semitic pride as whole regardless of religion and culture we come from

Jew, Arab or Assyrian..ect we all come from the same origin !! same father Shem!

  • uhh thats soooooooo arabic lol

  • It's actually identical to the Hebrew Alphabeth (except the shapes of course)

  • is there a standardization of aramaic? is the site you give the alphabet and standard rules of the people who still speak it today?

  • @oMOHSEN8o Of course, most of us who speak Aramaic also speak Arabic.

  • wow you cant imagine how happy i was watching this video. it reminded me of my childhood when i was watching this program everyday in a kurdish channel. i didnt understand anything but i was writing the letters down and listening to the songs hehe Thanks a lot!!!

  • Wow,....the Aramaic Alphabet,....a beginning to learning Our Lord Yeshua's language,...thumbs up to ya Juliana and thankin' ya for the AWESOME UPLOAD!! = D

  • @Chowdit

umm, I have a new user (because of copyright).

  • @mechanic93art

  • This is more or less an old Arabic language. WOW I am Arab and I haven't realized how Arabic is Aramiac. Or I shall say how Aramiac is Arabic. The same alphabet in Arabic. Hebrew as well is very close to Arabic but not as close as Aramiac. We can say if you speak Arabic, you almost spoken the language of Christ.

Come from hebrew cause Thamood language was closer than Phoenician and Arabic Come from hebrew who means "to be" Thamood language was closer than Phoenician and Arabic and they said "kan" and Pheonicians people came from Yemen, the Himyarites who means "the reds" and ancient greek and romans certified that.

  • Baghdeda, what the hell is the difference between Sad'e and Simkath, they both sound the same and it's driving me nuts.

  • @G33KN3rd Sade is more like "ts".

  • this is diffrent from arabic it have another mean and it have things that arabic doesnt have it you can say its close to french

  • @Merry200

Syriac Arameans, Hebrews, and Thamoud and Kanaan are the real origins of the tribes of the Arabian Peninsula, specifically from Yemen

  • @Merry200 Aramaic is the ancient Arabic

The same characters speak in modern Arabic

    alef

    3in

I want to ask you pronounce the French letter 3in

    hahahahhahahhhhhhh

  • @Merry200

The Arab pronunciation of letters are the same in Aramaic, Syriac, Hebrew and Thamoud these dialects origin and one

Arabs in ancient times was called semitic

  • @Merry200

The tribe of Israel and Saad El and Smoael

Isra El = Israel Smoa El = Smoael

Arab tribes, ancient origins of Yemen, there are ancient graves bearing their name Ancient Arabs whose names end in-El El=ايل

Because God was called Il when the ancient Arabs

The Jehovah ( يهوه ) was the God of the tribes of Thamood

    Arabic Pronunciation yahoh

  • You have three types of Arabs :

The 1st : The ancient arabs (Al 3arab Al-Ba3ida), who are somalians semitized.

2nd : The pure arabs, who are the Qa7tani, actual people of Yemen, some in Saudi Arabia, Oman and Arabs from Ghazanid and Lakhmid tribes.

3rd : The Musta3riba the arabs arabised who are Abraham and Ismael's sons.

For information, the semitic people come from North Yemen cause J-Haploid is the most concentred in this region of the world. (...)

  • @DaLynxfighta Arabian peninsula don't have Somalian DNA so it is false to consider the ancient Arabs Somalian...

  • The word "arab" come from the semitic root "ערב" who means "west".

The Assyrians or Aramaic people of today are descendants of Achaemenid persian. The world "aramiya" come from semitic root "aram" who means "high", from the higlands of Saudi Arabia The Najd, cause Najd means Highlands and scientists said that aramaic people migrated from Najd to South Iraq and Kuwait, and they went to the North of Iraq.

  • the similarity to modern hebrew is striking. we even have a simiar song!!!

hearing this language is like going back in the time tunnel...

  • @nachtgeist1 That's because Hebrew is an Aramaic language.

  • The Arabs themselves are mixture of east Africans and Mediterraneans travellers that lived at the edge of both civilisations, no more no less

As for the language, people in the same country even the same city with few 100 meters apart speak different dialogue, it is clearly that the spoken language in various middle Eastern countries is diverted from Aramaic.

And it did influence the spoken Arabic we have know not the opposite.

  • No historical facts to prove that the Aramaens are an Arab tripe that migrated north, excuse my French totally bullshit, it sound like the population of earth originated somewhere in the desert, logically that is impossible, stone age, bronze age people mostly dwelt moderate climate areas, not until the late iron age that part of Arabia was used as settlements and only as service stations for trade in between what is now east Africa, Yemen and the Mediterranean numerous civilisation,

  • BTW, you keep complaining about the Arabs but I can't really see the difference. Look at the examples you're picking: آلاها صوما صليانا ... ?

  • This is the Nestorian or Eastern pronunciation (the so called "Assyrian"), and as you can hear, it is influenced by Mesopotamian Arabic, in vowels in particular. When I hear this I feel like a Khaliji person is speaking Aramaic. To the contrary, the Aramaic spoken at Ma3loula sounds like the Arabic of Damascus/Syria, which is probably the closest sounding Arabic dialect to the ancient Aramaic.

  • Simple, they sound Arabic because Arabic is an Aramaic dialogue, so my friend you Arabs are originally ARAMIC,

  • You've got it the wrong way around. The Aramaeans were ancient nomads who migrated north from Arabia.

  • wooooooow this is just like Arabic

  • yeah it is becuse arabic come from this language

  • @locomaroc187

in fact its before the arabic !

  • does aramaic have a ''J'' and a ''Gh"

  • No it does not, just like Hebrew

  • it doesnt have them in the alphabet but we do have those sounds and we make these letter when certain vowels are added just like in English when you have /s/ /sh/ /t/ /th/ /c/ /c/ (well at least the neo- one)

  • @Romanov93 Placing a "majleeana" ( ~ ) under gamal turns the letter to jamal with a "J" sound. Placing a "dipaa" ( period ) under gamal changes the

sound of the letter to a "gh" sound.

  • i mean wow listen to what juliana jindo is saying in the song....

    kha leeshana itlaney...anayna etwhathaney!!!!

  • or the way we PRONUNCIATE OUR WORDS!

and besides why keep repeating history over and over with this were 1st no were 1st CRAP! its been going on for hundreds of years give that shit a rest!! WERE ALL THE SAME PEOPLE WITH THE SAME CULTURE AND HISTORY AND SAME TRADITIONS, LETS START ACTING LIKE IT !!

  • omg!!! i havent seen this video in about 20 years!! holy crap it brings back soooo many memories!!

and i been reading your posts, your wrong chaldeans have not been around longer, we have been around 4 THE SAME EXACT TIME,certain "melets" or tribes just branched off and decided to call themselves different names WITH THE SAME LANGUAGE with the exception of like 10 WORDS, THATS ALL THAT DIFFERENTIATES CHALDOS AND ASSYRIANS!

  • area of Ur

  • why is there several styles of this syriac cursive script??? like the "alaph" for example it has different ways to write so whats the different ?

  • most of these words sound Arabic

  • arabic, hebrew and aramaic (assyrian/syraic) are all semitic and related languages

  • @justinelhillow There more like dialects really... Comparing Arabic to Aramaic is like comparing Modern English to Old English

  • @akmix89 Yes it sound Arabic but with Iraq accent strange.

  • @akmix89 becuz arabic comes from aramaic

  • the kurds and assyrians chealdans syrian poeple are like one family. even in iraqi Kurdistan they have there right to do what they want. the goevernment build for them new houses and new churches. you can ask any one in iraqi kurdistan about that. i have alot of chrsitian friends with me they were in zakho and we still more than brothers. im muslim but i respect all of the religions. god bles the assyrian chealdan syrian people.

    greetings from sweden

  • Northen Iraq should be called Assyria as it was originaly before , do you know what the name( zakho) zakhota means? its an Assyrian word , meaning = victory..

  • I live in west bloomfield mi.. Can anyone tell me where i can send my son to school to learn how to read, write, and speak fluent chaldean... He knows the basics from me and my mom but i want him to learn fluently....

  • Its too bad this language will probobly die in a few generations. i am a proud speaker, reader, and writer.

  • nice, its a great language that should never die. i recently visited Malula, a city in syria where people still know aramaic

  • The letters are the same as Hebrew.

  • The Assyrians are slaves of PKK and working with them very close. In website aramnahrin you will see all facts about that. This traitors are working with the murders of our ancestors. They do this only because they wants to change our rich Aramean history, culture and language and to "Assyrianize" our Aramean people. This is also exactly what the Kurds wants! The Kurds wants to claim Mesopotamia as their country. So long the Arameans exist they can't do that.

  • soooooooooooooo much like arabic :P is she speaking aramaice or arabic?

  • She is singing in Eastern Aramaic dialect (aka Neo-Assyrian/Chaldean Aramaic).

  • Abraham was a Aramean and have speak Aramaic..

  • it sounds like arabic

  • Aramaic is the motherlanguage of Arabic.

  • that make sense

  • I am not sure but I think that the Chaldean is a variety of Aramaic language which was spoken during the rule of the Chaldean dynastys "the new(second) Babylonian empire".

  • Chaldean. I'm that, Alqoshi =D

But anyways, it a different dialect of Aramaic, we understand Assyrians and Assyrians understand us, even though they hate us =P

  • Chaldeans of today aren't the Chaldeans of ancient Mesopotamia.

When Assyrians converted to Catholicism, the Pope and Catholic Church gave them the name "Chaldean".

Chaldeans are simply Catholic Assyrians, while Assyrians are Orthodox, but we're all Assyrian! :]

  • The Assyrians and Chaldeans of today are all Arameans. In the 16th century the Western missionary converted some Eastern-Arameans to Catholicism and called them Chaldeans. In the 19th century also the Angilican missionary have converted some Arameans to call themself Assyrians. We are all one Aramean people with the Aramaic language and culture.

  • Assyrians and Chaldeans are all Iraqi. Chaldeans are just older so it may seem that they are extinct by now, but they were the ones who occupied Baghdad and Zakho, Alqosh, Ankawa and other places. But they are still alive. There are such things as Catholic Assyrians. My uncle would have never married his wife if she wasn't. In all intensity we are the ONLY Christians because we do speak Aramaic, but for the most part, we are different.

  • I agree with you completely. Chaldeans were here alot longer than the Assyrians. We just have such low numbers due to the long period of time we exsisted. It obviously makes sense since our language is directly from the Aramiac language.

  • Cardinal Mor Ammanuel III Delly, Patriarch of the Chaldean Church of Iraq and the world: "I am a churchman, and I am not interfering in politics. We in the Church require nothing else, than the rights of our peoples requests and decisions. But I would like to state that we, Chaldeans, Assyrians, Syriacs are one people, known as the Aramean people".

  • Really? State your evidence, please.

  • Visit the website aramnahrin.(org) and you will see all source and facts. The neo-Assyrians are not exist anymore. We are all ONE language, ONE blood and ONE people! The bible, books, professors are all recognize our people as Arameans! What source do you wants more?

  • Well, Assyrians, Aramaeans, Babylonians.. and other people of mesopotamia were mixed together after the fall of the Assyrian and Babylonian Empires. And they accepted the Christianity as one nation. So it's ok to call Assyrians or Aramaeans...

  • Sorry but that's not true my brother. What is your source? Please we must not say something if whe don't know if it is really true. Where was the Assyrian people after the fall of Assyrian Empire? They was assimilated by other people, mostly by the Arameans, and called themself later also Arameans, get children that was growing up with the Aramean language, culture and identity, In the 19th century Western missionary brainwashed some Eastern-Arameans to let them believe that they are Assyrians

  • The Arameans was the first people that was converted to Christianity. They was a powerfull people, but not all Arameans have decide to be Christians. After then the Christian-Arameans have decide to call themself Syrians, because they didn't wants to be confused with the "Heathen"-Arameans. Syrian is a Greek Word and a synonym for Aramean. The bible, scholars, books all recognize our people as Arameans. Unfortunately some people don't wants to know the true and facts about OUR people.

  • If you read the bible Old Testament you will read about the Arameans, the people of Aram-Naharaim,the land of Aram between the two rivers. How was Aram-Nahrin(Hebrew) called in the New-Testament(Greek)? How where the Arameans called in the NT (Greek)? Do you know this easy questions?Father Abraham was also a proud Aramean! Visit the website aramnahrin.(org) for more info and facts about our people and the brainwashed terrorists that called themself Assyrians and that wants to destroy our history

  • Assyrians are sell their soul and betray their own ancestors for the Kurds. And my question is why? Do you sell everything what you have for that "name" (product). I pray every day for the UNITY of our people and ask God to forgive the brainwashed Assyrians, because they don't know what they are doing.

  • ok isnt akkadian a chaldean aramaic language?

  • I know he didnt speak aramaic as aramaic came long after abraham. We do know about the old testament(Torah and the prophets).

  • ARAMAIC , ARABIC , Hebrew ARE LANGUAGES SEMITS ????

  • Yes all are Semitic, and the languages are very close. think of it like the Latin based languages (french, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese they are all related and are close) its the same with Aramaic, Arabic, and Hebrew.

  • I think You are right. ABRAHAM (IBRAHIM in arabic) spoke the original ARAMAIC. He was born in UR.

  • ABRAHAM spoke hebrew it is the original languge of the Jews

  • my god this is amazing thanks alot

  • this is very cool.

  • this was fucking creepy

    Shit!

  • jenny our lang (the jews) is hebrew not aramic aramic was the lang of the aram nation who rules in the area of israel .

hebrew came from the name of "a'ever" the teacher of avraham avinu

  • Abraham was called the wandering aramean, and was born in mesopotamia in Ur (south iraq). He didn't speak hebrew, he spooke aramaic.

  • Aramaic is beautiful and in my opinion is the mother tongue of Hebrew because jewish people in Jesus times spoke aramaic and in fact aramaic was jesus language!!. I think that Abraham spoke aramaic as well !!!!!!!!! =)

  • its like a hebrew arabic hybrid

    very nice

  • It is very similar to Hebrew and to the ancient Arabic but not to the modern Arabic. And it is not Hybrid of anything as it was the first language used (spoken and written) in the history of human. civalization

  • Oh my goodness its almost exactly like hebrew!!!

  • ya same with arabic

  • "Which language is the best?" that's a stupid question. Like when a child says that homo sapiens is more evolved than any other animal... lol

About assyrian & aramaic: it's quite the same issue than kabyle and other languages of Tamazgha, isn't it?

  • Shut up, idiot! We were called Assyrians before Henry Layard was born!

  • Arabic is the most evolved, complex and beautiful of all Semitic languages. Aramaic is cool too, but unf it's almost extinct. Hebrew is not real anymore mo wonder after being almost dead for so long it was inevitably influenced by the weirdest languages such as Yiddish. I bet ancient Hebrew sounded much like Aramaic. But of course I may be wrong.

  • As a hebrew speaking jew , if i remember correctly , the current standart for the hebrew sound evovled from mizrahi hebrew meaning that of the jews from the muslim world

  • I thnk you are right. The moder HEBREW pronounce more like stupid GERMAN (YIDDISH).

Cause mot JEWS are ASHKENAZY (NOT REAL SEMITE)

  • Hebrew was before aramaic took over which is what the jews of Jesus time spoke but a revival took place becaus ethe temple was going to fall and they wanted a united jewish people

  • Modern hebrew uses Sephardic (The slaves who were wend to spain and after the spanish inquisition mostly fled to poland) prenounce and NOT ashkenazi one.

Ashkenazi sounds different (I know because my grand father still got this accent).

Btw I have a black polish and russian friends, yea right not semite!

  • Thats called yiddish

  • there is two different type of Jew you should know and the ashkenazi is the main group they used yiddish hebrew letters with german saying. I should know. The yiddish are semite and the people from Israel.

  • Ashkenazi Jews have no bloodline to Abraham.. Ashkenzi Jews are not semites but from the Gog & Magog Scythian tribes. Ashkenazi Khazars converted to Judiasm around 700a.d. However Sephardic Jews are true semetic Jews. I have both the fake Jew and real jew in my ancestry on my mother's side.

The State of Israel is bullshit. 90% of the Jews there are Khazars. They've returned to a land they were never in, in the first place!..

  • Over 50% of Jews in Israel are Sephardim. Ashkenozim has J1/J2 majority. Please stop your bullshit and watch the tape.

  • @asianlion7

In Israel it's around 50% Sephardic, 50% Ashkenazi I should say. But in the entire world 90% of World Jewry is Ashkenazi Khazar which were originally Gog/Magog Scythians

  • First, you are right. Arabic is the most evolved. Second, aramaic is going to be gone in a few generations if we dont do something. And third of all, Hebrew did used to sound similar to aramaic because it evolved from it.

  • your wrong , aramaic is used by alot of people all over the world.

and hebrew did not evolve from aramaic.

more closer langauges to hebrew are , moabite , ammonite , adomite , ugratic , amorite and phoneican.all of this langauges are extinct . excpt hebrew.

  • Aramaic and Hebrew are very closely related. Aramaic has been the language of the Jews at many points in history. Jesus spoke Aramaic. Some of the Old Testament was written in Aramaic, but in Hebrew characters. The Talmud was written in Aramaic

  • There are Alot of Prayers In Aramiac , Like Kiddash.

    Assryians and Jews Are Brothers.

  • Yup, not to mention parts of the liturgy is also in Aramaic, most prominently the Kaddish.

Rabbis generally have to study Aramaic in their training as well.

The Zohar, the famous work of Jewish mysticism, is also in Aramaic.

  • @ZionistOpressor a new discover tablet about Ugratic showed that 70% of it words were Arabic..

  • calling Arabic a satanic language is uncalled for. all semitic languages are beautiful!

  • did you know that aram was a tribe that existed in arabian peninsula smart ass, but they left for greener land. Thousand of year aago.of course your history goes back to 1856ad.

  • im assyrian in illinois thier is no place here that teaches how to read and write in assyrian or what ever this aramaic stuff is....and what the hell is this lady saying? i only understand one thing she said. also why dont we speak this aramaic instead of speaking assyrian????

  • lol blankwarrior, aramaic and assyrian is the same thing..lol.

  • No "Aramaic" and modern Assyrian (Surit or Asurit) are different. You would not understand the language called "Aramaic" .

The language modern Assyrians speak is evolved from Ancient Assyrian language (aka Akkadian).

  • This is beautiful language ! Thx a lot !!!

  • Aramaic was before Hebrew ;)

    Aramean Pride !

  • Is the languege in the video Aramaic ??

  • no it's assyrian. it's a dialect

  • thats ASSYRIAN

  • i am arabic i live in israel so i know hebrew aramaic is tottaly a mix of hebrew and arabic and a little giberish

  • you are totaly wrong, Aramaic existed first then came hebrew then arabic, as matter of fact, the arabic language contains thousands of Aramaic words.the neo aramaic is a mixed of ancient assyrian akkadian and aramaic languages.

  • isnt aramaic now extinct?

  • No, It still the mother language of about one million Assyrian-Chaldaean-Syriac.

  • Not it is not, but if we Assyrians don't get our cultural and political rights in our ancestors land in Iraq , then our language will definitely extinct, to preserve our language is to have cultural and political rights so we can rebuild ourself from ground zero unlike the jews of israel.

  • i know aramaic is the base of arabic hebrew turkish persian greece and many more

  • hebrew & Arabic I would agree with you. But turkish persian greek ?? How so ? Greek and Turkish are not semitic languege. Farsi is not semitic either, its similar to india/pakestan languege farmore than aramaic.
