I didn't say you were evil. Writing a superior status into the Constitution is based on the idea that straights are better than gays- if you don't feel that you are better than me, you wouldn't vote for that. As for hate, that's a matter of perception, but I can't imagine casting a vote that I KNOW hurts other people. Do you understand that this makes 30 million Americans feel hated by their neighbors? It's wrong. And I am a 2nd-class citizen b/c the law makes it so. This must change!
You see yourself as superior to gay people. That's homophobic. And hate is the only reason that someone would hurt me and my family based on a characteristic, which is what you did.
Reality is that I'm just as married as you are. And giving me some second-class word makes me a second-class citizen and it's an insult to my dignity. I'm just as human as you are and I deserve equal rights. I don't dictate to you how to live your life, and you ought to show me the same respect.
