@badboik3 You can in Exoddus, whether they're sleeping or awake. Just don't do it out of the shadows unless you're close to the next screen or it'll likely gun you down once it's back up.

This game is incredible! This game is the best game I have ever played! I have managed to beat it several times but I could never save all 300 Mudokons! I love the Abe character so much!

i just recently got a ps 2 (i know i'm old school) but i played and beat this game several times for the ps 1 when i was 10 or 11 i'm nearly twenty now and still miss this game lol, wish i could get it again but it'll be very rare in this crackpot town i live in ;(

How you record Oddworld with FRAPS? I can record PS1 version of Oddworld with FRAPS but not on the PC version.

I don't think you can. FRAPS was my first choice when I started recording this walkthrough, but when I played back the video, it had recorded the FMVs only (the game itself was frozen while only the sound played). I haven't tried recording the ps1 version, so I can't say anything about that. I had to use ZD Soft Game Recorder to record the pc version.

while pressing the arrow to move abe hold shift to run. when you want to crouch press the down arrow and he'll crouch and rool to the directions you want

Sure. Whenever you're running, hold down x and you'll switch to roll. When you want to start running again, simply let go of x and you'll switch to running. Hope this helps!

Actually, it's the "x" key on both the playstation and the pc. :P

Take a look at the controls setup in options and the roll key should be x.

how does fraps work on oddworld?

Whenever I tried fraps on oddworld, it recorded the FMVs only. For the actual gameplay it only records the sound and freezes the video at the end of the last FMV until the new one starts.

Sorry, I don't know how to fix fraps to work with oddworld, but zd soft game recorder has been working well with every oddworld video I record. The file size is also very small too compared to most of the other recorders I tried, usually somewhere around 65 MB for a 30 minute video I think.
