  • Thanks... its about time someone explains how to do this type of meditation!! Now is this similar or the same as Transcedental meditation?

  • I had one of the most profound experiences of my life last night using this technique. Thank you.

  • aaa wow i just looked at my very own comment about 2 mnths ago and i 've noticed that i have said the same thing, good on me! you are a teacher

  • I don; t know what it is u got mate but you are a teacher

  • Woah....Man that was amazing. You teach very well. Thank you for that. I didnt even notice I was away from my body. until my hands and toes started wiggling again...that waking up technique is soothing.

    Thanks

  • Simply Great....

  • your a good teacher

  • World Vegan World Peace - Please do meditate

  • @xboxboy7 do DMT

  • This is a form of self -hypnoses...and it will lull u to get some sort of peace...but will not transcends you to the no-self..

  • @xboxboy7 What you exprerienced was not an out of body experience but an "expansion of consciousness." It is an experience of our inner self which is unbounded consciousness. It is a blissful experience. Your meditation was much deeper. Keep doing it. Congratulations.

  • mate that stuff really does work, ur a legend helped bring down a load of stress. keep up the vids bro

  • Hey, come and listen to my MEDITATION PIANO MUSIC and tell me how it helps you meditate. Also listen to any other tunes or watch videos and tell me thoughts or feelings.

    peace,

    Caleb

  • Thanks man

  • I feel like I'm not doing it properly or that I can only get half way there.... I'm also not chasing my first high or anything, I realise how having expectations or a goal in meditating is detrimental.. I don't know what I'm doing wrong... Maybe I just need practise.

  • @cidp012 Hm, I think I know what you mean... but as long as you don't think these things during the meditation, it shouldn't be a barrier to further experiences. Learning to meditate goes by itself if you let it.

  • I have a question! After I've stopped saying the mantra out loud, am I supposed to start thinking it, saying it over and over in my mind, or am I supposed to start hearing the sound of the mantra in my head without thinking it? I'm going trough a strange phase in my meditating. The first time I tried meditating the experience was incredible and I felt as if I'd left my body, but that hasn't happened since... Now when I meditate, I can reach a state where I'm not thinking, and it feels good but

  • You're describing TM.

    :-)

  • iv been practacing meditation for about 4 years now.(im 18) but i now find myself with alot of free time to think, and have begun usuaing this meditation along side the other meditation techiniqes i use such as the healing smile and a few various transformational breathing meditations and have found this profoundly effective in causing me to have out of body experiances while meditating over a long period. this has been very helpfull in guiding me recently. peace be with you. thanks

    Jacob.

  • thanks for the help man i will enjoy trying it out . But how did you find this way of Meditation

  • Good video TranspersonalEffects!

However, I recommend that in mantra meditation one should close one's eyes and choose a dark room for the meditation to cut down on one's visual stimulation and enhance the effectiveness of the mantra.

  • do you recommend listening to music while practicing meditation?

  • sounds like a realy good meditation ill try it later when ive had rest

  • a lot of "donts" in meditation. lol

  • hey what happens if you use diffient mantras, like for example, i use the om mantra for a month and thenn i want to change the mantra for another one, would any mantra still work the same, please if you can get back to me w/ an aswer i'll apreciate it alot, thank you..!

  • During my early thirty's, myself and friends went to a Jose Silva weekend Seminar, and learned how to meditate and other related experiences. Thanks for reminding me how important it can be. Maybe I can mediate my high blood pressure to come down and get off the medication.

  • how are u suppose to make ur mind think freely if u keep saying the same word over and over again? how can u ubserve ur mind? isnt it better to just close ur eyes and let ur mind fly with thoughts? =D

  • I truly enjoyed your om method here. Please correct me if i am wrong, i think the relaxation process is very important in order to experience any meditation to the fullest. And the rate at which you said om is perfect.. It doesnt let your mind loose concentration.. Thanks for the video

  • Is it alright to meditate while listening to relaxing music?

  • I "saw" flashes of purple lights while my eyes were closed and it was really really difficult to open my eyes to see what time it was. They were as heavy as two rocks :) I will keep doing it for 3 days. Let see what happens :)

  • Your vids are so insightful. I wish there were more.

  • Thank you all for the advice, you´ve put it in the right words, im already trying that and its working, hard but effective. Love and peace for all my soul sister and brothers, 10-10-10 let meditate on that thay and see how moch anergy its around.

  • i started doing this for several days now and started noticing a spinning sensation while eyes closed. almolst like i was moving with the universe. is this common?

  • @Ogzltheeve I have experienced this off and on with different meditations. It's perfectly normal, and common, but it does not *have* to happen. When it does, just allow yourself to passively feel the sensations without trying to control them. Let them come or go as they will, while you remain in your calm center.

  • trust me guess its wrong way to do..dont try this yeah i knw you do get relaxed for few minuts but again thats dangrous for you..

  • Comment removed

  • .I was a little distracted, but when the ten minutes were up, I opened my eyes and saw my room in a strange new light. It's like the feeling you have when you wake up, before things sink in and you remember who you are. Cool feeling, but it didn't last very long. Good results, gonna keep trying this, but I'm having trouble keeping my eyes still.

  • @wahtization I love when this happens. Keep breaking through the veil!

  • I tried this for just a short amount of time in the morning, and I feel well relaxed and more optimistic about everything. Thanks I'll keep this a good habit .

  • This sounds like transcendental meditation. If it's not, would know what the difference is? because i'm having trouble understanding why TM centers charge thousands of dollars for an already well known technique that you can find for free. Ya know?

  • @xirishmagicx it's a bit like TM but not exactly it. I have learned TM and the reason why it has a price for it is because 1- Many TM teachers are doing this job full time so they need money to eat and pay there bills like everyone else and 2- its to make sure that the people who learns TM are really determined to learn it and to practice it (they are not there to fuck around) remember, once you learned TM you have it for life 3- TM teachers are certifed teachers to make sure u learn it right.

  • @xirishmagicx From my research, this meditation is basically what TM is. The TM folks claim that their personalized mantras and one-on-one instruction offer a special version of the meditation. Personally, I have never taken the program, so I can't say for sure. What I can say is that people are more likely to say something is special if they've invested $2500 for it; otherwise, they look silly for having spent the money.

  • Thanks for your willingness to help others

  • @arizona13ay I am glad that people have found it beneficial!

  • Thanks for sharing what another said is basically TM in a nutshell! You have saved people money!

  • whoa i love u man! thanks for posting this up!!!!

  • when i smoke i go realy low and relax, but i to think and see a lot more or hear more like one or two sences go 100% at a time. however some time i go deep within my self without knowing or meditatin, but everyone notice that im changing and the best part its that im aware bout the world within. The only thing that i wanna see is stop cigarrets im realy in control but i cant stop cigarrets and i really dont know why, Any idiea anyone? Blessed be

  • @guevus22 Learn TM, I had stop smoking cigarrettes and weed. It took longer to stop smoking weed but it still works. I feel happier, got out of a depression, i appreciate things more, like cleaning for exemple that i use to hate to do, i feel more connected with people, less angry at my parents and at some people that i use to hate. I'm more calm and peacefull, that is why I love TM. TM is worth a million

  • @guevus22 Cigarettes are both mentally and physically addicting. You start to associate relaxation with a cigarette in hand, and your body starts expecting the nicotine. I recommend starting a new (healthy) habit to replace the cigarettes. That way your attention will shift to forming the new habit, and away from supporting the old one. For example, when you feel the urge to take a smoke break, maybe do a 5 minute awareness meditation break instead. Commit to it for at least 4 weeks.

  • Comment removed

  • @guevus22 Hi I am the same with smokeing. Have you stopped yet. LOL

  • Just what I was looking for. Thanks for your help.

  • thanks. im glad there are people doin it for free

  • very good indeed.

Where I used to go wrong was "try" to stop thinking.

I thought oh a thought thats bad I should not be thinking.

Instead it works like this, "oh hello thought, what are you?" "I know you will come and I know you will go". So I just watch you come, and go. Its very amusing, try it.

You are an empty vessel and into this space will come and pass thoughts.

You just observe the process, non judgmentaly.

    and dont try too hard

    ;)

  • What you'll notice you might hear/feel "ohm" vibrating when you stop meditating. Its very nice. Like a background hum. That god, love, life, creation humming, whatever!

Maybe its just the aircon :s

  • That was unreal. I just tried meditation on my own for the first time without my brother who meditates all the time. This technique was unreal! I closed my eyes chanting 'ohm' and what felt like 5 minutes ended up being 25 minutes when I opened my eyes. I feel incredible! thanks for the vid

  • wow this worked! awesome!

  • This is good, it takes what is quite common knowledge and makes it more understandable to a westener.

Good advice with not before bed and not before eating.

  • thx bro for posting this wonderful video i feel so much relax and calm after doing this .i did it for 2o minuts and it felt like only 2 minuts very powerful technique indid

  • Today I spent an hour and a half meditating repeating a prayer. I felt uncomfortable in my sitting positions and moved often. I found it was better if I lay down, except then I'd unintentionally fall asleep. I recently had a float tank experience where I came in contact with my "higher self" or soul. I had myriad psychological breakthroughs and enlightening realizations. I can't seem to reach this state in sitting meditation, as my body gets restless and uncomfortable. Any tips?

  • @WilliamEGD First, make sure you find the most comfortable seating position you can at first. If you have to sit in an easy chair, that's fine! Second, continue meditating, even if your comfortable position becomes uncomfortable. Learning to treat discomfort passively, just like thoughts, is one of the gifts that meditation can teach if you are willing to face the discomfort again and again until it means nothing to you.

  • Well spoken

    way to transmit the

message keep up the good work.

  • hmm i havnt tryed it this way.. but i have a question for you have you opened up your third eye

  • i was going to try this after the video and i was hungry and went and got some watermelon to eat while watching... 5:43 lol

  • Thank you!

  • The mind is like a person, it knows when u are about to meditate, so it starts to wander off and start yacking, this is a tip, before u get into meditation, tell the mind gently like look mind we are about to meditate for 10 minutes and wat ever you want to yack about we can talk later so if you keep running your mouth while i am meditation we are going to sit here another 30 minutes, you dont want that do you mind?? its like a person you have to talk calmly to it....it will bequiet lol

  • @sonebone7 It's funny, but this totally works! It's really amazing.

  • @TranspersonalEffects I believe it works! yes indeed! love your vid!

  • @TranspersonalEffects Thanks TranspersonalEffects! I dont have time to be babysitting with this mind, she is going to have to surrender and stop running that big FLAP lol!!!

  • @sonebone7 wow i havent heard anybody think how i think about the mind LOL

  • @infamuzblayze yeah that ole tricky mind, always yacking! LOL!! you have to darn near bribe the sucker to be quiet so he can shut his flap LOL!

  • @sonebone7 Its so funny you say that I just did a meditation here:

and had an experience where i was playing basketball with myself lol. Myself was like "you always play with everyone else but you seem to ignore me. and then you wonder why u feel lonely with all these "friends". Very enlightening

  • @JFrescobar Thanks Jfrescobar!

  • @sonebone7 .... very interesting way of dealing with that junk part of the personality .... i run into this often . i will have good intentions to meditate and 10 thoughts run thru my mind as to why i shouldnt . by the time i examine 5 of them i think ok ok , ill wait til later , more often than not later never comes . thanks for sharing your technique.... ive recently started a visualization meditation on a symbol of discipline and intelligence which has been helping as well...

  • Hi, I do it exactly the same way, but haven't read it anywhere. It was intuitive :) Bless You :)

  • I did a meditation just before this that made me feel VERY sleepy, so I did this one for the second time today to wake myself back up and I feel it working already, feeling very energised and think this is the best meditation video I have seen so far (though I have only started meditation today lol). Thanks! x

  • Thank you much for your Advise! I do meditate but have never tried to do it with a short Mantra! It sounds very interesting and I will give it a try today. Namaste

  • seems extremly tempting man, ill try it out real soon, and get back with feedback,.,

  • it just makes me angry...never done smthong so dumb

  • I just tried this and had a really worrying reaction! After several minutes i felt myself beginning to rock forward and back involuntarily. I felt hotter and my hands began to sweat a little. I started to panic so i stopped after about 5 minutes! Can anyone tell me why this is happening. I'd really love to learn how to meditate but but i'm slightly worried after this first attempt.

  • @jiminyjamin Meditation can release a lot of energies, and they can affect you in many different ways. The best way to deal with them is to passively observe them and allow them to come and go. Often when they are strange like that, it can cause a mental feedback look that makes us start to obsess and panic over them. If it ever becomes too much to bear, it's perfectly fine to stop the meditation. Remember that these sensations will not hurt you.

  • Thanks for putting this up. This is a very simple and user friendly beginner's guide for learning to meditate.

  • thank you..this chance my life:) and weed too:D

  • I have tried this, and it is probably the easiest method of concentrating your mind and thoughts, it may make you feel good after, but it works only on a superficial level on your mind. You could probably use this as a stepping stone into meditation, but what you need to do is find that peace that comes from way inside which is more difficult to do. Thanks for this though!!!

  • i beleave marijuana would greatly imorove the level of the meditation experience,

    (Seaker of the truth)

  • @dogen22 Medicinal plants can change meditation and give you a different experience that is interesting and special on its own. However, the most powerful and lasting effects come from sober meditative experience.

  • @dogen22 i wish that were true cause im a total pothead but it destroys concentration instead

  • @dogen22

you are simply wrong. marajuana doesn't help anyone to meditate. if you think that, it's because you aren't fully aware of what meditation is.

It is mind training. That is what meditation is. It trains the mind.

In the beginning you learn relaxation and focus. You learn to unclutter your mind. This is just like learning an alphabet before the more complicated business of learning to write.

Marjujana can induce psychosis in some people. Meditation is a very different experience.

  • mantras are not required for meditation. you don't need a mantra and you don't need to sit in strange positions. you don't need joss sticks or bells or eastern music or a shaved head or an oragne robe or paint between your eyes.

training your mind through meditation is a process like training your musculature or cardio-vascular system by exercise. It takes time to train your mind. It isn't done in a day or an hour or a few minutes as this man suggests. I takes at least a month to see benefits.

  • cool i will try this, its simple and seems like it could relax me

  • very surprised with the results, thanks.

  • Thank you for this video.

I'm always interested in unknown accesses to meditation and I found this very interesting. I think what really makes it hard for most people is the feel of the very essence of meditation. You need to open your mind and let go off everything wordly. It takes a long time to achieve this, sometimes years. But it definitely opens up a wonderful new way of being and peace.

  • I wanne learn!!!!!!!!!

  • @cocodrilll Try watching the video and do as he says. That's learning.

  • @CreepyCave

    thanks for the tip :-)

  • Premeditation comment. Thank you for simplifying it for me. I'm sure that my next meditation session will be much more successfull.

  • Thank you, really works!!

  • Nice technique, this helps with calming down quickly

  • this is freaky i was doing this technique for about 5 minutes and while i was doing this i felt the room i was in was about 2 ft in diameter it was wierd then i opened my eyes and they were to adjusting to reality

  • @insanepoptart77 try smoking weed , meditating, and then opening your eyes

  • I just focus on the everything and nothing coexisting together. It is unimaginable, which makes it great for creating a blank mind to slip into a trance.

After a while, it feels like energy is surging through me and colorful pulsating blobs enter my mind, sometimes also forming geometric shapes. Very weird.

  • @ArcanumNoctis

Thats how Astral projection starts ;)) COntinue with it ;)))

WHen you start to feel strong energy all over your body, and you feel something in front of your forehead pulling you forward and outside of your body eventually :)

Just check out Astral Projection ;)

  • great technique. I like to meditate right before practicing martial arts, it really keeps me focused

  • one friends always meditates 30 mintues before school starts

  • I'll try this man!!I gotta say.. i dont know if its because ur a meditation pro, but for some wierd reason I just love your personality. Freaky :O

  • hey I'll try this. I will leave a comment in about 3 days :-)

  • one of the best meditations i've experienced, and i found it on youtube!! thank you for sharing this!

  • I really enjoyed this. This along with my daily yoga makes me feel wonderful. Thanks!

  • hmm... I tried it and it was okay, I'm not sure if i did it wrong. To be honest I feel somewhat calm but tired and sleepy maybe a little restless, I don't know what it did exactly, but it did something that's for sure. Either way I think it's great that you take time out of your day to post this up for other people, I bet you've helped many, don't stop trying to help people with your video's, I bet they really need it. I feel like I can finally breath though like deeply. Thank you =)

  • i started yoga not long ago..been reading up alot about it!

i tried the mantra you showed here...and i must say wow!

    it really worked..thx alot :)

  • i say take me lol haha idk why

  • umm, does it help to smoke weed before you do this, cause i did and it was great.....any feedback would be Greatly appreciated.

  • same here! i feel good man!

  • for sure bro.

  • @chainsawbeaver

I always used to vape some weed before meditating when I first started out. It definitely helped me to get started. I still do it when I plan on meditating for a longer period of time. It really helped me and I hope you'll find a similar experience. :D

    May peace be with you.

  • @chainsawbeaver haha, well maybe. If you tried it and it worked, great keep doing it! I like to smoke after meditating.

  • @chainsawbeaver Yes! i have just recently got into meditation (about 2 month now) and i find it much easier to do when i smoke some weed. I assume it is down to the individual, but i know it definitely helped me alot.

  • @chainsawbeaver well you could...but you could be getting a false outcome that you think is working but isn't...though weed is a drug that already gets rid of stress and tension...so maybe it does help :P

  • @chainsawbeaver some say that smoking weed ease the way in the meditative state but it has consiquenses

  • @HAMENOS2FORES3 and what do the consequences entale?

  • @chainsawbeaver i think it has to do with the damage you do to your lungs and temporary short term memory impairment ..you meditate to increase your cognitive performance and enchanse your being to increase your memory and etc from that point of few weed dose not help its kinda exhaust your mind with heavy use but a litele cigaret is very helpful to fastly go into deep meditative state so you must to choose dosage which does the least damage for me one puff of skunk is enough to meditate forday

  • @chainsawbeaver try it for a week with smoking a blunt before it and try it for a week without doing it and let me know! smoking increases your heart rate and your minds activity (if you smoke a lot) so it could go ether way.

  • @chainsawbeaver man...believe it or not...when I smoke before I do this I feel like it actually works.

  • @chainsawbeaver everyones different.

If I smoke dont want to meditate. I am a thoughtful person and have trouble with out weed silencing my mind. when smoking you know it stimulates the thought process...

No shortcuts. Better in the long run dont smoke, but like I said everyones different!!!!!!

  • @chainsawbeaver Chemicals can provide you with a euphoric feeling but drugs always produce some sort of negative side affect..It may give you a quick change of perspective, however the change is only temporary. This is much different from natural spiritual practice. If you smoke a plant you will learn about the plant, in the same way only the self can know the self. Namaste my friend

  • @chainsawbeaver lollll dude i just thought about that

  • this is my favorite youtube video all-time, make sure you follow EXACTLY WHAT AND HOW HE SAYS IT :) thank you

  • omg wen u say "ohm" its so hypnotic..

  • Do you have to sit in the dark?

  • You have your eyes closed so it doesn't matter.

  • its a great experience if you do just because it helps block off another one of your senses so that you can focus purely on the mind, and eventually on transcending it...

if you cant though its fine! one can meditate anywhere they choose, i find that when im immersed in nature my meditation sessions are always better though just because when in nature i am myself, who i was meant to be, and also i feel the unity of all.

  • thanks

  • Im definatelly trying this tomorrow!!!!!!!!! :)

  • thaks!♥

  • how do you do a quick meditation lets say your at work and you need away to just let ur body relax how do i make my thoughts become lets thus being over thinking

  • @grundie00 If you want to just do a quick meditation at work, I recommend Body Meditation: /watch?v=hnmCEp4uNc0

  • @TranspersonalEffects

Thank you so much for sharing your meditation-tecknic. It is my first time to try meditation, but I like your way of explaing the meditaton.

  • Meditation and Mantras are Awesome!!!

  • muchissimas gracias. i was looking for this a long time ago. I just followed your indications, and it works!!! thank you.

  • Wow,why pay good money to learn TM when you can do this for free.

  • great video,, explained Meditation in real simple words,,, thank you !!!

  • i think this was a great video. i get really stressed at school. i have been doing it every day for 2 weeks. it has help me alot better. i only added one thing and that is nature sounds or soft music. it helps me meditate more

  • great instructions thanks

  • haha ima try this and ill be back in 3 days to tell you my exp.

  • i like this , i like this alot. thanx for the upload very much.

  • NAMASTE

  • you have it spot on i have been meditating for 3 years and this is th best way, thANK YOU

  • How soon after I wake up in the morning can I meditate? My days are very full as a father, husband and firefighter so a few hours before work is all i usually have.

  • Just tried it found the ohm mantra blending with my heart rate. felt really relaxed and more focused. Can't wait ti do it again because the first time was only about 5 min. due to lack of experience I was letting too much outside influence in and my mind wondered alot.

  • I've always wanted to learn to meditate but can the phrase (eg.ohm) be repeated at an easier, more slower pace than what he displays in the video? I had trouble keeping up the rythmic beat losing my breath from time to time. any feedback much appreciated. also can you sit on the ground and not on a chair?

  • Yes it can. Try inhaling slowly and slowly exhaling ohm. You can sit on the ground, the best way would be in a lotus position. Your back should be straight, that is the most important thing.

  • woww, amazing... within a minute i could see white light pulsating in the rythem of the mantra. this technique works better than brainwave entrainment! thank you so much

  • i did this once and i just felt my brain just filling with energy. It worked the best listening to music at the same time, but i dont want to get used to that because i think the natural way is better, maybe listening to a waterfall or being in a forest or something.

  • I read everyone's comments below and im not feelin all the stuff their feelin...idk what im doin wrong

  • don't expect to feel it, just sit there silent in your mind just sit there not expecting anything because if your waiting for it your not meditating, try to erase your mind and say your mantra like he says and it will work (:

  • @ICedOuTChAldO, when u are doing the meditation you are looking for a feeling, do not look for anything, just do as he ask you, you are focusing on looking for a feeling, get that out of your head, thats why its not working sweetie, really, remember do not look for anything to see or feel, just be, and i promise it will work...

  • ive been going trough a bunch of problems and its mostly durring scool. i tried this meditation, once and not all the way and i feel so lightheaded in the good way, the type you would get after a very great day, thanks for the help, ive been trying so many meditation methods and this one seems to work right off the back. makes me feel alive and well again,

  • try grounding and chakra meditation. it also works well for regaining energy and clearing your mind

  • @kpgpwi64

i agree. i live in an apartment. i generally go outside to actual GROUND.

so if you live in an apartmenmt, leave!!

  • A wave of energy went from the front to the back of of head very slowly. It felt like someone running a brade the length of my head, as the wave went across the whole width of my head. It was a very cool and refreshing filling. Their were other waves mixed with vibrations through the rest of my body and the experience slowly came to and end. Can someone tell me exactly what this could be? I have never experience something like this before, it was exciting.

  • why try to explain it? simply enjoy it

  • probs ur chakras rotating throughout ur body. am nt whizz at this kind of stuff bt am thinkin it's ur chakras opening up and releasing positive energies.
