@creektrouble-Donna, what I see about the one in your state is it takes places in early 1900's...mine is 200 years prior to Crossroads...so imagine those changes in history...your's seems quite modern actually with merry go rounds and other things...
Sturbridge is a year around working farm with 59 buildings and over 200 acres so takes a few days to see it all...
Both are nice but this place shows just how hard life was in the 1700-1800's with no modern conveniences at all...
@mariana240404 ...It's my extreme pleasure to bring you America's best places according to me....LOL...My parents took me everywhere and exposed me too so many things...they loved museums and Broadway shows...I was a kid going on cruises summers...think Titanic where I would dance with woman 2 times taller then I was at the Captains Ball....I love the ocean as we had a family summer home on Cape Cod...
My videos I'm making are places we visited...fun memories for me bringing them back to life!
I ran out of characters on last comment...lol. How long does it take a tourist to go through the whole village and enjoy all these places??? Can you ride in one of those stagecoaches??? LOL... Do they have re-enactments all year or certain times of the year??
@TexasMom17 ...It's year around....yes, you ride on stagecoaches...we always went on a weekend and stayed in a hotel for 2 nights...We went every summer and I loved it...I like history and how far we have come...it's amazing...
Wow...what a fun, lovely, and QUAINT pioneering village...... Another place I'd LOVE to go and visit....lol. Love going to working farms and seeing how they do all the crafts and visiting with the artisans... Love the blacksmith...and the quilting bees That pottery that was shown, I gave it a double-take...I believe my mother-in-law has a piece of that! What is that object at 03:36?? Looks like a LOT of wonderful history there! Thanks for sharing this gem with us!! LOVE IT!
@Maskedman46 It looked like a pottery kiln, but I wasn't really sure!!!! LOL...but, it would make an excellent and cool pizza oven!!!!!!! The pottery kilns of today are UGLY...at least the one my brother-in-law inheritaged from his grandmother who was designed pottery.
@TexasMom17 Well, it looks like a fun place to travel too. There's a similar place in Virginia that is a living history town and I wanted to visit when there visiting family, but couldn't squeeze it in. It's called Colonial Williamsburg, VA...set in 18th century and on over 200-300 acres if I remember correctly...and another place the Jamestown Settlement, VA...didn't get to go there either. Yes, we've come a long way in history, but it's awesome to see the actual homemade crafts!!
Hey, Captain...what's the pioneer lady at 01:40 pointing and smiling at?? LOL

@TheBeestoncowboy Howdy Cowboy...It's a wonderful educational place seeing just how hard our ancestors worked on everything...
Kids today are spoiled rotten and don't appreciate anything...
Thank you for watching and your input...
Have a terrific weekend Pal...
