"The thing to do is to get organized; keep separated and you will be exploited, you will be robbed, you will be killed. Get organized and you will compel the world to respect you."
Kenya would benefit by getting fee collected from transport charges. That's a huge amount of money and it is worth it. But even if discoveries are made on availability of oil in Kenya, it takes time to explore and produce oil from the fields. With mutual cooporation with South Sudan we can still benefit on their expertise to build stable industry in the region. That requires keeping Khartoum under watch, because any agressive action they launch will greatly affect Kenya.
@drsugarcane Why does it always have to be about Kenya? Hasn't these people suffered enough? As a Luo with origins in South Sudan I'm more than happy to help my cousins. & the best part about all this is that those greedy bastards in the North won't get a taste of that oil.
Waw "this porject"The Sudanese english rocks, they need private tutors from Kenyan soil.Signing the agreement was a very good move though. The Sothern is independent and I can't understand why Northern region still acts as if they own it.

I think joint ownership would be better for both nations that way they can both manage it and prevent future conflicts.
