We're working hard to pass the Kentucky Firearms Freedom Act as well that will totally remove the BATFE from ALL weapons related sales as long as the weapon or accessories are made in Ky., sold to a Ky. resident for use in Ky. This would mean that silencers/suppressors made here would not go through BATFE at all but through the KSP instead which would mean more jobs here for Kentuckians! :)

If people would actually take the time to read the bill (instead of listening to all the crap on the internet), they would see for themselves that the applicable section of the NDAA (s.1867) DOES NOT APPLY TO AMERICAN CITIZENS!! The applicable section is section #1032. The amendment (#1274) that created all thus hubbub was DEFEATED 49-51. Calm down people! Your rights have not been stripped!

So, the result is that, under the bill, the military has the power to indefinitely imprison American citizens, but it does not have to use its power unless ordered to do so. If people would actually take the time to read the bill (instead of listening to all the crap on the internet), they would see for themselves that the applicable section of the NDAA (s.1867) DOES NOT APPLY TO AMERICAN CITIZENS!! The applicable section is section #1032. The amendment (#1274) that created all thus hubbub was DEFEATED 49-51. Calm down people! Your rights have not been stripped!

@HailEris523 Don’t be confused by anyone claiming that the indefinite detention legislation does not apply to American citizens. It does. There is an exemption for American citizens from the mandatory detention requirement (section 1032 of the bill), but no exemption for American citizens from the authorization to use the military to indefinitely detain people without charge or trial (section 1031 of the bill).

So, the result is that, under the bill, the military has the power to indefinitely imprison American citizens, but it does not have to use its power unless ordered to do so. But you don’t have to believe us. Instead, read what one of the bill’s sponsors, Sen. Lindsey Graham said about it on the Senate floor: “1031, the statement of authority to detain, does apply to American citizens and it designates the world as the battlefield, including the homeland.”
