How the hell he hit that thing? I mean the Intervention is good and accurate but at 1760 meters? WTF. I hold a real M2000 before during my Cadet ttraining at shot a round at 1000 meter. Didnt even hit it close to the target.

They record every shot the rifle makes, record temp, wind speed/direction, mirage, barometric pressure, humidity etc. The point to recording every shot is to be able to accurately predict where the bullet will strike down range. Hope this clears up any confusion. Keeping an accurate data book is a lot of hard work.

I doubt you could hit anything from 1760 meters with pointing the crosshair right on the target...you would have to aim above it and at that distance, even a small amount of wind should be taken into account..

@Lugbash24 nah they do have the crosshairs on target.. thats why they dial in estimated windage and actual elevation so the scope will be looking down by a fraction of a mm and the barrel will be actually aiming above target and to the left or right depending on wind value and direction.. however at this distance it is tricky as the wind at the target is usually a different value to the value at the barrel.. this has to be calculated by the sniper on his gut instinct.

@Lugbash24 that is why there is MOA adjustments on long range scopes, you adjust the minutes of angle that the scope is shimmed on the rifle, so you can look directly at the target even though your rifle is aiming higher than the target and either to the right or left for wind compensation

If the guy is 500 meters away, you twist the knobs to be equivalent to 500 (9.50 elevation 3.50 wind 7 moa) meters and put your crosshair on his chest, and it will hit DEAD CENTER where you aimed. Where do people like you get your brains? Video games? I guess that's how it is these days.

@tntrocksbb Your talking about the "knobs" on the scope. They are adjusted for wind speed, and elevation. There is not knob on the gun itself it's just adjusting the scope to make up for the effects of wind and elevation on the bullet.
