Odd that the movie's depiction took a turn the comics (nor any other medium's depiction did) in that it was Rao that exploded here, not Krypton.

4. Her home planet is Krypton. Its her CITY, Kandor - capital of Krypton - that was underwater. Read the Comics.

The one we see in Smallville has been hinted to be Brainiac.
