  • If this man can forgive with all his heart, after 23 yrs of wrongful imprisonment and my best mate can forgive the man who stabbed and robbed him, it shows a normal skeptical person like me that there is possibility for change and love.

  • @ SuperJay - Mate we beat the All Blacks fair and square in 1995 and we hammered England in 2007 too. South Africa is one of the Big 3 and next to NZ the best team in the world.

    @ Supduplemup - That was 2007.

  • nelson madela gave his people a champion :D

  • Oh my god its morgan freeman!!

  • KeepEnglandWhite--> Someone feel like his race is going extinct lol

  • Oh my. I can feel the pressure the springboks would have felt when he gave this speech. Especially to Jake and John. "We are convinced that you will triumph and bring the trophy home. Go Springboks, go!".

A true leader. A man who will never be forgotten. Sacrificed so much for his country. Including wealth. Which alot of leaders will never think of. BTW, I'm not south African.

  • Madiba brought a country that was once racially and culturally divided and helped make it united.Nelson Mandela Is the greatest president in the history of south africa

  • @ shander21...well, Obama is a poor leader. He should learn from a good leader.

  • Obama should learn from Mandela.

  • @TheArcaneMystery What does Obama have to do with anything?

  • @shander21 am asking the same question.....why is that when there is a video of nelson mandela and or gandhi, people start mentioning obama, bush and or any other fool.........mandela and gandhi are not to be compared with any other fool that now is calling him/her self a president of a country!

  • @TheArcaneMystery supporting the springbooks???

  • Go springbooks!!!!

  • madiba thanx u are a great man. god bless u

  • Nelson Mandela is the greatest leader ever

  • Why are there only ever a couple of guys like this in a generation? Or one? Ten thousand Glenn Becks and Sarah Palins and Mugabes and so forth for anybody who has an ounce of this guy's good sense and decency. Doesn't seem right.

  • mandela por siempre. gracias por existir, el mundo necesita mas lideres como tu,

  • Gran persona, admirable su postura y gran ejemplo a seguir, ha hecho un bien para toda la humanidad. Gracias Mandela.

  • if we were surpose to live togeather god would of put us all in one country he didnt for a reason. animals dont mix and neither should we

  • Probably the greatest man to have ever lived. He shall never be forgotten. Madiba !!

  • For what reason?

  • @DaSlug32 He transformed not only

South Africa but the whole world. He brought hope

of a world in which race the colour of our skin

is not a factor, in which we are all brothers and sisters

  • @nickolei1969 Then why has South Africa become the 3rd most violent country in the world?

  • @DaSlug32 Sadly Madiba is no longer President. A lot went to shit when he left. By the way, where are you from?

  • @nickolei1969 Mandela was always an advocate for the armed struggle, believing that violence was the only solution. Within 3 hours of him being release from jail, he called on his people to continue the armed struggle. Even he believes the sword is mighter than the pen. The murder rate in South Africa rose to over 25 000 when he was released and is now below 18500, although I believe these figures to be higher.

  • @DaSlug32 Madiba was and is ANC not PAC he was against using violence to get the end result.

    where you from anyway?

  • @crazyhoolagirl Selective memory. Look up on youtube for his first speach just hours after being released from prison. Know the real history of Mandela and why he was jailed, not just some fiction to help clean up his image.

  • @DaSlug32

This is right, he's no saint. Put it this way, for a militant who spent years in arms struggle, it is fair to assume his influence could have been easily maintained by staying the same route (like most power hungry who clinged onto power in history). But for someone especially that background, it takes a great man to change the perspective completely like that.

  • i like to see thats not all humans in higher positions watch only on the business, i like to see thats give mans who to trade in with ethics. we ne need more of them for a peacfully earth. you have to do right things, every time..its for your body for your soul and for the society..i wish you good moments in your life.

  • may you live forever

  • such a great fellow. really a huge leader.

  • Dear Lord.

He's an old man now eh? Sheesh.

  • very true. how old is he now?

  • Best Presidente ever! Greetings from Brazil!

  • Mandela its the best president... Go Madiba!!! GO!!!

  • hey look everyone. Mandela is a person who saw past everything, and looked to the future, if people tell racist jokes..and the ppl who shout at them for it...BOTH do not understand what he was trying to show us. See past the pettyness of racism and greed and simply look for the friendships we share and can share, the love we can each have for our country and our fellow country men. and every other person on this planet can share. im not a bullshiter here ok..i simply wish to have hope..try it :)

  • ... and now World Cup Football Madiba!

    In South Africa.

    :D

  • Invictus was such a good movie

  • @darko123456 This is long after Invictus... They won the world cup for a second time i believe in 2007

  • Madiba is my hero. There's no one like him. Go Springboks, go. Long live to Madiba.

  • Nelson Mandela it's a person to admire and a person to follow as an example.

  • Romania respects South Africa and Nelson Mandela! Long live the freedom of choice

  • Respect from Romania!

  • I wish i could have that president as You mr.Mandela!!!!! greetings from Poland!

  • is 2010... why r u still talking about racism?? dint we learn yet that we r all just humans?

  • You need to see Morgan freeman in INVICTUS. Along with Matt Damon this is a first class look at Madiba Mendela, his politics, love and reason for pushing Rugby in South Africa

  • Mr Mandela would be very good at killing conversations.... the guy takes ages to speak one sentence...!!! :S

  • It's true. But he is 90 years old, so I suppose there's a reason.

  • Not from New Zealand are you by any chance ?

    Loser !

  • The Great Man. I am very lucky that I've had the chance to see him in the flesh at least once in my life!

  • To bad that there is stil racism in south africa :(

  • too bad there is still racism everywhere.

  • true, wel ok i make a rasist joke once in a while, but that doesn't make me a rasist, with the joke i don't mean to hurt someones feelings or smth, it's just for a laugh, but the real rasism like killing etc, is just wrong, to bad ppl aren't smart enough to figure that out

  • @Gancia113

YOU ARE A RACIST IN DENIAL.

I have a problem with your definition of racism. As long as you do not "intend" to hurt, humiliate, ridicule etc., you think it's OK. Whites always think "intention" matters. But we say otherwise. Regardless of intention, discriminatory treatments, or racist jokes, are unacceptable. You have a lot to learn. Grow up, you racist.

  • Lol i'm totally NOT a racist,

look i play rugby, andin my team there are a couple black people, and yeah we just fool around with that they're black and stuff, but we DON'T mean it, and THEY KNOW that we don't,

from the moment i know i hurted someone with a joke i apologize and when i know they can't laugh with it, i don't make jokes, it's that simple, btw, i only make sort jokes with black friends, and not with people i don't know, just watch out next time you comment like this...

  • TheProtea09 thank you this man united our country

  • The sun alas is setting on the Mandela era...

  • The guy survived more than most but after all his efforts the country is in a worse state than ever

  • Maybe we are in a worse state. But if it was not for him I think SA would have been a lost cause. His message still rings loud everyday though he does not speak much.

    Thank you Madiba!

  • Why take charge of something you have know idea how to run.

  • @daithemuff Then God is a Epic fail!!!

  • @Princedemars - god is not the blame for this, its man whos done this.

  • @daithemuff If That is for God..I second you...Why the hell God made this world if He cant run...Hope you understand the Irony of Ominipotent God...For me if there is a God He must be Omini-Impotent. and not Ominipotent...

  • BEUTIFUL. this man could motivate an entire universe with 1 sentance if he wanted to. he is a true legend

  • It seems to me that everytime he speaks everyone forgets about any racial differences or tensions for that moment! I cant think of another man who has that impact

  • (Barack Obama)

  • Barack Obama does not care about race. He's half white crying out loud!

  • non sequitur.

  • don't ever compare obama to this man. Mandela is a legend.

  • LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL, Obama...the PR guy! LOL I wonder who has been doing that--ooohhh wait the people at the Nobel prize Committe--

  • One of the greatest men I have ever had the privilege to see.

  • What a man. The closest there is to a secular saint in the world today, though he just claims he is a politician. Go Mandela!

  • Legendary. It's so sad to see him so old.

  • Agreed! What a legend though.
