I remember being at this game and barely seeing Dale's catch from down low on the other side of the ground... Absolute screamer. Bevan eventually got NSW over the line with yet another perfectly crafted and judged run chase in a game involving a lot of players in or close to the Australian side of the time.

There are heaps of catches that could be concieved as the greatest ever. I.e Shane Bond caught and bowled. Bevan Small for Central Districts. Mathew Sinclair vs Australia. Ponting at 2nd slip. Collingwood at gully vs aussie. Its all up for your own interpretation. But this catch is pretty good. I suggest looking up some of the catches i have mentioned for a good look at some spectacular fielding

I personally would rate close in catches higher than outfield because of lack of time.. Check out that catch by Mathew Hayden off Dhoni in the 4th test in 2008.. And by the way, I am Indian !! And most catches by the Windies team in Australia in 1984. - Remember Richardson, Harper, Dujon catches from the VHS days. Remember Richardson catching Rixon in gully, Harper catching Border's flick off Marshall at Short leg (??), Dujon's acrobatic catches (buty dropping sitters)..

There is so much affection between indians and aussies isnt there! The truth is you're both equally useless when it comes to cricket.
