it seems like back east it takes a long time to arrive on scene unlike california just a couple minutes. there must not be a wide range of stations out there
well south mack has a hazmat and the west end has a hazmat. i thought they only had one hazmat and that was out of the west end but i guess i was wrong. i guess i learn something new everyday
I hear all this active on Police Scanner. It was some crazy crazy stuff. I am glad they have a video of it heading to the scene. Great Post keep it up.
I find it amazing how quiet the interior of these new rigs are. In the days when I drove them you could forget about hearing the radio calls over the roar of the engine and the sirens and air horns. It use to sound like the Detroit Diesel was in your lap and the sirens and air horn were mounted in the cab beside you. Our Aerochief 90 (Truck 15) had two Q2B's and your ears would ringing by the time you got to the scene! ;-)
air horns sound like shit but other than that great video

@ntfd125 was that the air horns?? if so you're definitely correct, but sometimes they have just a regular horn hook up to the steering wheel.

Engine 9 has a crew of 4, if I'm not mistaken. A code yellow response is with no lights and siren( that was for Unit 55 which is the Haz Mat truck)

Engine 9 has a crew of 3 on a good day when manning numbers are high.
