I would have liked to hear more piano in this orchestration at around 2:00. Nothing wrong with strings, but they dont' add to the expressions quite as well.

Check out "Myself When I Am Real" on the album "Mingus Plays Piano"..its this same song under a different title and of course performed solo..on piano. Not sure which is better...for me both are incredible and each have their own merits. Post what you think??

Yes that piece is incredible too but its a little bit more um traditional jazz. This one is so amazingly unique especially the starting
