@enjoiorange 2 stroke engines makes more HP, but only make at the top of the RPM range. To use a 2 stroke correctly you kind of have to "ride it like you stole it" all the time to stay in the power band. Also, 2 stroke bikes either require pre-mix or have oil injection (I'm not sure which the Stella is) so your clothes end up smelling a bit exhausty. 4 strokes make a little less HP, but the power is more available and don't burn an oil/fuel mix. I love the lunacy of a good smokey 2 stroke.
They're finally coming out with an eco friendly 4 stroke Stella for 2010. No more carbon blowing 2 stroke smoke. Still the same vintage style...just a save the planet engine.

The only problem with that is the planet does not need saving, and, even if it did, there's nothing you or I can do to "save it" or alter the destination and sure future of this big, beautiful blue ball we reside on.
love my 2008 army green - it took me forever to choose b/w that & the orange.
i wish they would keep producing these, i would never want to drive an automatic "futuristic"-looking p.o.s.
why can our country bail-out these outdated, money-wasting, gas guzzling automotive giants that insist on building giants boats-on-wheels BUT THEN insist that the Stella models are hurting the environment ?
@indieclock - I agree! I found automatic bikes harder to control than standards. In fact, the first time I got on a bike in 2006, it took me no time to master the standard shift. Fortunately, the 4-stroke Stella will keep the standard shifter.
I don't think 2-strokes need to die, but I'd like to see alternative fuels available, like hemp-methanol or hemp diesel!
I agree that the bailouts of GM and Chrysler were mistakes. Corporate welfare sucks!
They are suppose to come out with a Stella 200i soon.

Thanks for the review. A suggestion, why not forget the music so we can hear the exhaust note?
