I´m also learning this piece right now. I like your interpretation of it very much. Specially how you really get into the story that´s beeing told and how it sounds when you play it. It looks like a simple piece but it´s not all that easy to play. Thank you for the upload. Bravo!
You played this piece very well. I enjoyed listening to it, but not watching it. Your arm movements and facial expressions are very distracting. remember you want people to focus on the music, not you.
This is the best interpretation I have found on youtube of Tchaikovsky's Op. 39 No. 7. Thanks for posting it! I will recommend that my students listen to it. Emotional and yet tastefully so.
kind playing with right interpretation.......in my op,this little piece about doll shouldnt be played in highly emotional way ....otherwise, with sentimental and balanced expression, and more ...like....piu infantile......like a man telling a sad story for his child....and thats i think how you played it......good work
Not a problem for me. I like to feel myself free to move as I like. Not useful, or disturbing? Maybe, but I play and stay so at the piano. Thank you for attention.
i don't think you needed a practice coz it's perfect for me...can you play "My Funeral"? I don't know about this but i used this on my video...thank you...^_^
Thank you for feedback. I think you have another approach (respect mine) to music, piano and other things. Be proud of your conception and remember that this yours is the only one. I'll try to adequate.....
Personally, I don't agree your comment. You should respect his works. I think that Sandro is a very good pianist, and this piece isn't ruined and it isn't rubbish. Choose words before writing dreadful comments, Ich bin Olix.
the rhythm is off, sorry. it is a first year piano student piece, actually. acceleration is not justified in the mid section. At the same time, too much and too soon retardando
at the end is not necessary, it diffuses the effect that you built up so nicely.
You seem to be completely taken away by this simple child's piece:) However, maybe you just started playing the piano, then I apologize.
But sarrasani, at the same time, however, you must never let your forte mean speed up. The human brain naturally equates forte with speed up. Just be careful of this. Other than that, Id say the tempo is only off in the beginning. Explanation: While there should be an eigth note between each key pressing, it seemed like you were giving the second note/chord only a 16th notes worth time before coming in with the third piece of the measure. Practice this and youll be great!
Thank you much for your interesting and motivated criticism. the relationship tempo/dynamics is really complex: I'm interested first of all in comunication, and i think (maybe wrong, obvious) that tempo can be a variable of the mood of the moment.
If I exagger.....maybe, and probably you are right. Again thank you and all the best.
I actually happen to disagree with this "acceleration is not justified in the mid section". Around the middle of the piece it should repeat the same basic principles as those seen in the beginning (aside from small chord changes which we have heard before anyway), it should reach forte as soon as he hits B6 flat. At the same time, I think the minor speed up at this point IS justified because it has to drive through the B4 flat which is not a part of the key we are playing.
(and separate taking of audio with good mics.). Hd is great, but when you must compress all...about unuseful for yahoo and similar standard. While I find important a good audio, also when compressed.
all the madness intact and the emotion to kill a soul

this was played beautifully. i also prefer to play this piece slower than the original time signature. i also love your piano!

It's good to enjoy playing, why play if you can't be in the moment and not just be still as a board.
Good job.

seriously arent all the movements and swaying a little bit exagerated?
you should let people focuse on the music and not on yourself....

This is absolutely DREADFUL!
I played this piece 4 years ago and you have absolutely DESTROYED a wonderful piece!
Your tempo is absolutely rubbish, and its ruining the song. You are moving your hands way too much and over the top on like a clown.
And whats with the facial expressions? Its a piano piece you are playing, not a comical act in the theatre! get a grip!

What are you talking about? It sounds wonderful and thank god it is not played in the normal boring way you see enough already on youtube.
Please upload a movie of you playing this piece, then we can be the judge :)

Glenn Gould playing in a very unorthodox fashion, as well.
He's remembered as one of the greatest pianists who ever lived, partly because of his eccentric approach to playing.

Than you for feedback. If you could help for the tempo....do you know a good tempo teacher?
Yes, I'm starting to play piano (as you can verify seeing other my videos here) and to count and play at the same time it's so difficult......
