  • this is my favorite going out getting goffed up anthem fo sho i play it as loud as the speakers allow and then some. isn't distortion the point anyway? i think so.

  • i walk the line ....Evil

  • this is a good song for a morning glory trip.

  • he looked like a cartoon character with those huuge eyes...

  • Remember me Nik !!! i named my son after you ..... remember your hearse with the bannana instead of a coffin lol hows Mrs Fiend and doctor fuck face you mad bad Chingford boy....

  • HAIL BROTHERS AND SISTERS

  • I've never been into genres or scenes, as a rule, and I don't really like putting a label on myself or on other people. People who take "subcultures" and "cliques" too seriously tend to annoy me. But gothic music, out of all genres, would have to be the one I like most consistently, and I feel that it speaks to me personally more than any other genre. Of course, "gothic" encompasses a lot these days, but I'm referring more to "first-" and "second-wave" gothic music, i.e. "old-school goth."

  • any one know the version of this song that is slow no vocals?

  • muito fodah

  • thumbs up if you like Alien Sex Fiend - I Walk The Line

  • puffff de lo mejor

  • I dont know about you fuckers...but I walk the line between good and EVIL!!

  • Goth isn't dead, it just sucks.

  • @RonnieDobbz1978 Then why the fuck are you here? >_<

  • @twistedtick it was a joke. and a play on the depressing nature of Goth, I am sure most people got the joke, sorry that you did not.

  • @RonnieDobbz1978 Oh my bad, sorry about that.

  • @twistedtick its no problem, it was a bad joke, taken from a NOFX punk quote, where "punk" and "goth" have been switched.

  • Without Alien Sex Fiend there would be no Marilyn Manson; that said without the Cramps, Siege Siege Sputnik and Alice cooper there would be no Alien Sex Fiend.

That said...there is a warm place in my amphetamine scared heart for ASF.

  • @Tamerlain The Cramps was formed before Alien Sex fiend

  • @johnny1973 Yeah, quite a long time before Alien Sex Fiend...I think they formed in the mid 70's.

  • @Tamerlain Alien Sex Fiens were on the indie scene in the UK in late 70's....Sig sig sputnik weren't formed until '85......how the bollox did they influence ASF......nob ???

  • @GlyndaBlade I don't think that's the case...both groups were formed in 1982 but Siege Siege Sputnik became "popular" long before Alien Sex Fiend...thus influencing ALF's sound and look; in my opinion.

  • @GlyndaBlade @Tamerlain gave u some knowledge right there, use it wisely. keep up the style.

  • existenstial as shit..........

  • why, why did I wait until college to get into this culture? it's f*cking AWESOME

  • I used to think of ASF as goth godfathers... but nowadays I think of them more as electroclash great godfathers.

  • *-* *-* *-* *-* *-* *-* *-* *-* *-* *-* *-*

  • odoc, i think you are mistaken. I am from the old era of goth, but there are one or two new guys that are still pulling it off, like the 69 eyes. i hate the new "goth" scene as much as the next goth, but dont stereotype new school with crap. do your research, lol. this is definitely my personal favourite fiend song. and um... twilight saga must be burnt at the stake

  • @gothSHEEP1

    I totally agree with u... Jajaja... ;)

  • cool checkout my tunes..

  • Love it.

  • We released that Alien Sex Fiend's track originally on Flicknife Records available as a 7" with gatefold sleeve and a 12". Best track from the Fiends.

  • Had the greatest pleasure of seeing them up very very close while in NYC.

  • alien rules!

  • I walked the line and felt into the pan.

  • Total geil.Kultband mit unwerwechbarem Sound - auch dank Mrs.Fiend

  • NOTHING compares to Alien sex fiend. Saw them live three times and whenever am soooooooo drunk, I play all my Fiend vinyls. Thankfully the Internet has made things easier. Thank you internet for making my drunk excistence easier:).....I walk the line and My Brain Is in the Cupboard Above the Kitchen Sink.

  • Many years ago one of my girlfriends introduced me to them... She was a fucking cool ass broad! This band is fucking dope!

  • am now not young, so, I am live fast, die later... :/\

  • its a thin line, yeah, and I relate, not sure why.... :\/

  • never seen this thank you !!!!!!!

  • Excellent...

  • [We're] already in the gutter

    Next stop

    Is the drain...

  • What's that smell, Oh it's Alien Sex Fiend rotting in the corner... I'm surprised they ever made it to one of their own shows, never took any thing seriously... god bless their soul, they showed us how to enjoy life.

  • Fuck epic song !

  • TO ALL OF YOU: The Goth scene isn't dead....it's UNDEAD.

And this is classic from the Bat Cave shit ^_^

  • @MutleeIsTheAntiGod why the label? angst is a symbol of comformity

  • @edwardsteganhaus It isn't about noncorfimity, its about expression and finding individuals like yourself. Who cares if you conform or not if you enjoy the music and the scene?

  • @MutleeIsTheAntiGod U Damn Right!!

  • My Business Is A Little Cloak N Dagger, I Drink So Much I Don't Walk I Merely Stagger!

  • What a load of old bollocks: I am a 'goth', 'Oh no your'e not!', stupid fuckin meaningless labels, I've met all types at ASF gigs and nobody gives a shit anyway.

  • @5N1TCH3R I... I guess you're right, in the end. It's still fun to talk about, you get to know a lot of different oppinions. And I don't know, I still like to talk about the subject, so in a way it is important to me, but it is just a label, I guess, we're all just human being.

  • @AgentHomer you even said your new to the scene. You even went as far to say it was dead this shows you dont even know anything and this isnt even goth by the way I can tell you dont realy know anything. You obviously arnt even apart of it dont call your self a goth just call your self a listener.

  • @birinbirinbirin yes, dear judge, I confess having said to be new to the scene. And this is absolutely true. I have seen the scene and I have talked to it, but I am new to it. This is not goth? alright, ok, it's not. So... Tell me, what is? Yes, I said it was dead. And I corrected myself to saying it was mostly dead.

  • @birinbirinbirin And again, this is absolutely true. There are no clubs, the young goths of today barely know off, most of the big bands are gone or don't release new albums, except the cure and fields of the nephilim (bauhaus recently released one, but they're gone now, too). There is only an obscure underground scene that still release new albums, in fucking south america apparently. Not many scenes left, eh? There are no festivals and practically no concerts. This is where I live, of course.

  • @AgentHomer DropDeadFest

  • @birinbirinbirin I never said to be part of anything. And I do know a few things. I never called myself goth, I DON'T NEED THAT LABEL. The only ones who do need that label and call themselves goth is you and ABMayweather. And both of you, especially you, have never proven that they are really goth. And no, only listening to sisters of mercy (even though I love them) and knowing a few obscure bands not even you listen, too, is not goth, it's just being silly.

  • @AgentHomer I hate labels there realy unesecary I dont even call myself a goth or anything. I just cant stand it when people call there selfs goths it gets real annoying the only true ones are from the 80's and early 90's

  • @birinbirinbirin ah, ok. a bit of an missunderstanding then. Well... If you see it that way... But then I'd say, only the 80's goths were true goths, cause in the 90's the goth scene was already replaced by the "dark culture" (schwarze szene in german, dk about the english word), gothic metal and future pop were born, people started to listen to lots of other music besides goth rock, ebm, metal, industrial and dark synthpop became popular...

  • @birinbirinbirin I wasn't labeling myself. Sorry, if it came off as otherwise. Labeling yourself is pretty stupid anyway, I mean, what's the point. You label other things/people to simplify them, so it's easier to talk about them, why would you do that to yourself. But... If only the 80s (and, arguably, the 90s) goths were true goths... isn't that just saying that - true - goth essentially IS dead? Well, I mean, the 80/90s goths aren't dead, but you can't become a goth anymore, so it is dying...

  • @birinbirinbirin Oh thank God!! That means I was in fact a real Goth and not a poser. I've been worrying about this one for about 20 years. I'm calling my mom.

  • @bigbronzespider she'll be proud :)

  • @birinbirinbirin SO... common. Prove it. Prove that you're goth enough even to try to arrogate that position to judge oher people's goffines.

  • @AgentHomer oh im sorry. From all the comments it seemed like you were labeling yourself.

  • @5N1TCH3R *beings. What I meant to say, was, I know I probably shouldn't care, but strangely I still do. Perhaps it's gonna go away.

  • you people scare me!

  • Yeah Stevo, fuck being normal. I'm in my forties too and dropping acid and listening to stuff like this was a great education. The middle class can kiss my arse.

    Ya les vale!!!

  • just entered about this old school goth bands!

  • Shame there's no recording of the Brixton fridge concert I went to in 84. Half the band walked off, but Nick and Mrs Fiend carried on, if I remember rightly, until after 12 midnight. We missed our train... Brilliant concert.

  • I can definitly see Alice cooper in this band. But I believe The Cure had most leadership in the goth movement. Great song by Alien sex fiend.

  • I saw them in the late 80s! Great!

  • good diggin music, fucking lush.

  • for all those noobs and baby bats out there i urge u to read the dark reign of gothic rock in the reptile house with the sisters of mercy, bauhaus, and the cure. its a look at dark rock as a whole. the intro sates who the originators were ie; leonard cohen

  • Goth is not just about the music dumbs, Edgar Allan Poe and Bram Stoker wrote gothic fiction in the victorian era, basically its the fascination with morbid and darkness and so this music is a strong part of it not the whole part, you cant be a goth only by listening to goth rock of the 80s and wearing black clothes anyone can do that for the shock value, you gotta have a mindset for this

  • @snajamh The gothic subculture is about the music, not a mindset. The Literature has nothing to do with it and the literature was not about having a dark mindset, it was about the decay of morality and values. Also, the Gothic Literature was from the Romantic era which occured before the Victorian Era, which had a focus on Realism. Stoker wrote Dracula in the Victorian Era but that was pretty much just porn in disguise. I doubt you even know who Radcliffe is.

  • @WraitheDarkbane

so basically what your saying is that if I wear black and listen to deathrock and goth rock from the 80s I am a goth?

I don't claim to be one and I have been told by goths that its not just about the music since you say its all music maybe your the elder goth and rest are posers huh?

If your referring to Ann Radcliffe the novelist then yes I know who she was, and calling dracula a porn novel, thats your opinion and it still remains the most acclaimed gothic novel no doubt

  • @snajamh Exactly, it's just about music. That's all how the scene started was music. It had nothing to do with the literature and architecture, I know this because I talk to people who were part of the punk scene when the goth scene started. Your friends are like so many other posuers that want to be able to listen to Slipknot and Korn and wear black and call themselves goth.

As far as Dracula goes, according to my friend with a PhD in Eng. Lit. it is. Go reread it and see for yourself.

  • @WraitheDarkbane

lol.........no its not about listening to slipknot and korn, those people do listen to goth rock and darkwave anyways I have been told and read on various sites about how diverse this culture is with many sub types, i think the type your referring to are called goth rockers, there are romantic goths, victorian goths and God knows how many, they do consider literature and arts to be part of this culture

anyways goth music and arts still kick ass no matter what

  • @WraitheDarkbane yeah, right. the two or three scenes in the whole fucking book which can be interpreted as being about sex, including the sucking of blood as a metaphor for rape and the scene where jonathan (that was his name, right?) meets the count's little girls. Well, let me tell you what, to make a porn, you need a little more than just that. And your friend with the PhD, he is only human. Yes, dracula had lots of sexual overtones. it might have been about syph. but not a porn!

  • @AgentHomer It couldn't be considered porn by 20th/21st century standards but in the prim and proper days of Victorian England, yes it was porn. Also, yes, the guy with PhD is only human but is a hell of a lot more qualified to make that assement. Not to mention that he's not the only person qaulified to make such claims that says the same thing.

  • @WraitheDarkbane sooo... what does it take to be a goth anyway? is goth rock all you're allowed to listen to the whole day? like the eight or ten good bands that survived? can you listen to dark wave? dark wave ain't goth rock, and people who listen to dark wave are wavers. Most of it is "wave music, when made by goths", so are you aloud to listen to it? what about "industrial, when made by goths"? "metal, when made by goths"?

  • @AgentHomer To begin with there are still death rock/goth rock bands still making music today. A lot of it is coming out of Mexico and South America lately. As far as being "allowed to listen to", grow up. Goths are a subculture formed by a preference for that kind of music but are not limited to it. Darkwave was once associated with goth music but it began to go more towards electronica and EBM. Clan of Xymox and The Frozen Autumn are some of the few that still stay close to goth.

  • @WraitheDarkbane really, there are? can you recommend me any good ones?

I am growing up, but I'm still a little young, so be gentle ;-) I knew the goth subculture wasn't limited to listening to goth rock, goth should be about what you can do, not what you can not do.

  • @AgentHomer Acid Bats, Miquel and the Living Dead, Eat Your Make-up, The Mescaline Babies, Warhol vs. Christ, Escarlatina Obsessiva, Porcelin Doll and Merciful Nuns are a few.

  • @WraitheDarkbane Thanks a lot, man ^^

  • @WraitheDarkbane But why is darkwave, why is electronica and ebm (even though I really like that kind of music) any more "goth" than, let's say, samael? Why are so many elder goths (well actually... mostly net.goths) so fond of ebm, while they would on noaccount allow an expansion towards metal? Why is a shift of the scene towards skinny puppy or combichrist "ok" eventhough they don't sound anything like bauhaus while "goths" who mostly listen to metal like paradise lost are labeled metalheads?

  • @AgentHomer The scene is becoming less Goth and more Industrial and Cyber. This is mostly due to the change in music after Sisters of Mercy started using a drum machine and Metropolis Records started pushing the synth sound. And it's not really the goth scene at all anymore, it's goths hanging out at Industrial/Cyber clubs. Industrials don't claim to be goth or even sub-culture of goth. Cybers on the other hand like to think of themselves as Cyber-goths but aren't goth.

  • Comment removed

  • @WraitheDarkbane Well, I don't know... I thought gothic used to be an aesthetic... Gothic architecture, gothic novels, gothic music, gothic clothing.. Your view on the subject is so narrow, seems to me like there is very little room for bands to evolve, you can't have heavy guitars, you can't have too much electronic influences.... Even though there are still bands, - your - goth is pretty damn dead. Metal and electronica evolved, now having a vide variation of music and a huge scene. goth died.

  • Comment removed

  • @ABMayweather I'm neither a metalhead nor a mainstreamer, why would I be watching this video if I was.

  • @ABMayweather I'm just new to the scene. Sorry for not knowing the whole underground when I only just got involved in it. You're being very judgemental, even though I'm just trying to discuss something.

  • Comment removed

  • @ABMayweather I can't stand cradle of filth. I know what true goth is, just as much as I know what true black metal and all the other trv stuff out there is, so you don't have to tell me. But I can bloody well like bauhaus, the sisters, fields AND listen to mayhem and bathory. I never said metal was a part of it, neither did I say it wasn't. I wasn't saying anything about that.

  • @ABMayweather If my questions are so annoying, then I'll have no problem leaving you alone, so you can be as goff as you like, without even bothering questioning yourself or anything else, least of all your necromonicon of true goffiness you keep locked in the cellar of your brain, somewhere, deeply hidden in the subconciousness of your mind, with all it's rules, made up by people on the internet, about what you can and can not do, being even stricter than the society goth once rebelled against.

  • Comment removed

  • @ABMayweather not dead. just mostly dead. which means that there is just very little happening. I wasn't trying to tell you off, but if somebody calls my questions annoying, it kinda pisses me off. Oh, and I can still read your deleted posts by the way. I'm definitely a mainstreamer and certainly not a goth, since being goth quite obviously means that there are quite a lot of things you can not do, and I'd rather just dress black and listen to bauhaus one evening and paradise lost the next.

  • @ABMayweather I personally take great pride in having a broad music taste, I like a lot of british bands, for example. david bowie, pink floyd, nephilim, bauhaus, sabbath... the uk has lots of great bands, and they know musicality counts more than musicianship. and if that makes me a not goth, then so be it. I'm a human being, just like everyone else, not a goth. So, what about you? it's a shame, that, even though you have seen all these questions before, you couldn't really answer them.

  • Comment removed

  • @ABMayweather I'm not offended, and I'm not sorry not to be what you call a goth, because not listening to the metal bands that I really, really like, just because I've been listening to a lot of bauhaus, the cure, christian death et c. seems... stupid, to me at least. I never called myself a goth, and I don't think I have "little" information, I just don't know the underground, and if that is my mistake, then I'm sorry, we all begin in a small way. But I AM curious and enjoy the music.

  • @ABMayweather In the end, neither me nor you are goths, you're an american, probably descending from the english, therefore a celt, and I am a helvetic. Well, I actually I have mostly swabian, austrian, roman and other german ancestor. Goths are really just a german tribe. Architecture was called gothic, literature was called gothic, and music was called gothic, none of it really is, it's all just a subjective definition of what is a "gothic" aesthetic. just a side note.

  • @ABMayweather oh, and did you realise, you called ebm poser garbage, "but it keeps the scene alive", but in that sense, ebm isn't any better than marilyn manson.

  • ta a cara do Alice Cooper

  • Alien Sex Fiend are the best but i dont like how the the goth scene is turning out though due to people who keep telling me and overs how to dress e.t.c its become to mainstream.its no longer about been a individual with individual teast now you have to listen to the seem music and just be like every other person its was naver about conformity or a set of screwed up social rules that are mainstream.

  • I Know What You Mean, Now In The "Goth" Scene Its Just Pure Vanity And Ego, Its Bullshit! I Wear Jeans, So What??? Im Still Into The Oldschool, But Seriously Your Comment Made My Day :)

  • i am glad that made your day

gerryevil :D but its so true, in fact i dont use the tag any more due to what i perceive as a negative now but i have replaced it with a new tag.that pays diract hommage to edgar allan poe and frees me from the bullshit of Do's and don'ts any way who wants to live up to tags becouse thats only what they are just "tags" they dont meen any thing but its who you are in the inside as a person that should meen every thing to you.

  • I love alien sex fiend and I adore nik fiends artwork if you ever gone to the offical website and looked at his artwork its pretty interesting :)
