i think i commented this before but ill do it again just to clear things up for all the ethiopians who got offended. im one of the daughters in the video. & btw this was filmed about 7 years ago.harland and the crew were so nice and not disrespectful at all. we absolutely enjoyed his company and it was a fun experience. compare this to the usually negative images of ethiopia that is more commonly seen in america. don't take it that seriously. as habesha's we seriously need to just lighten up.

Hi Mesaly, I got the impression that the (your) family had a great time with Harland and found his humour funny and not offensive. Hes not nasty or snide, he's very clever and a bit cheeky.

People are so sensitive these days, making light hearted fun of others is the core to any humour - can you think of a joke where ISNT a victim in the punch line? On his podcast Harland often parodies the British (Im English) and I think hes hilarious and very very talented.

Haraland is funny. And the Ethiopian hosts were very good, typical of Ethiopians to make strangers feel welcomed. The wife understands somethings better than the husband which shows Ethiopain women are quick witted and the husband is very humble

The Ethiopian people are very peaceful. They have outstanding cuisine and a beautiful language. This video does very little to make any of that clear. it is an attempt at comedy that falls in the category of "an attempt at comedy". It's too bad because I enjoy Harland Williams' other material. He should've shown more respect to the family and their customs since he was THEIR guest. Some of his lines were very funny (like the soup with hands), while others were very degrading (mocking their headwear at the table). I normally enjoy Harland's sarcasm, but this was not the place to exhibit most of it IMO.

I may be wrong, but it seems to have been filmed in Little Ethiopia district of Los Angeles, California USA. His humor was on the edge in my opinion and I, as another white American was embarassed by his behavior. Fortunately the hosts were very gracious.Good manners should always be employed; particularly when in someone else's home (or country).
