  • ur good untill ur racks then u might get a little bit of water but just drain it and keep ridin yamaha are the best on belts compared to other quads ur belt should never have to be replaced on a yamaha

  • ull know when water is getting in when ur riding through the engine will start to bog down but by that time its usually to late to back out or stop so usually personaly i just pin it and lean back lifting up on the front trying to keep the intake as high as possible and the water going past it rather then over it or in it

  • Moi J`ai un Kodiak 450, Des machine tres bien ballancer pour le fun et les trail techniques.

  • I want 2 know the same Im going 2 be in the market 4 one soon but kind of scared of the belt tranny .How much water comes out of the drain after a 1 1/2 feet water crossing?

  • No water is enter in the engine...

the air entry is on the radiator....

  • I appreciate your feedback but im sure the wud and water stay out of the engine but im %100 sure some water gets in the belt housing and I know theres a drain plug for it to drain water and mud for the belt housing and was curious how much U need to do it after water /mud crossings and does it help alot to prevent troubles and slipping with the belt drive or aka the ultramatic tranny.BTW does a little water get in the airbox like most quads I just dont want alot?

  • You talk about the little drain under the clutch gard?...I open it and no water comes out....I'M sorry for my response because i'm not very good in english...

if you want more information send me a message on youtube and i will send you my email adress

  • when u get water inside the belt the high temperatures just evaporate it real fast. Do some research on youtube and on google and stuff and watch some more videos

  • @2dazed I've had my Wolverine 450 in water almost up to the shifter knob and have never had water in the transmission.

  • U mean there is a spot on the radiator that sucks in water thats not good keep me informed?

  • @jerpeterbilt He's not talking about the engine, he's talking about the transmission. The transmission does have an air inlet/outlet to keep the belt and pulleys cool.

  • @2dazed my GFs dad has a 350 grizzly which has the same engine as a 350 wolverine (350 ultramatic) the only difference is the grizzly doesnt have a straight rear axle. and his gets water iin i ALOT but i have nvr had any problems with the wolverine in water. now that i think about it.....i dont think i have taken it through much water......nvr mind

  • Hows that Wolverine do in deep water?
