I went raw after watching this video! for 3 whole month best thing ever,but as soon as I started eating cooked foods again i cant seem to get back on track...didnt think it would be so hard. Any support out there?

I am eating salads nightly with a chicken or fish protein but I also got a Oster blender $49 and blend a grapefruit in the morning and add pomegranate and acai powder to it for a nice lift to get me going. I am losing about 1.4 pounds a day, so my WII fit tells me lol..p.s. i am also burning about 500 to 800 calories a day on my elliptical and lifting weights every other day
Maybe raw food really is the best... I almost never feel 100% full after eating... it improved since I quit eating meat a few months ago but I still cook my food. 2 months ago I could eat a whole barbecue and still not feel full... maybe cooking actually modifies the nutrients so the body doesn't get what it needs no matter how much you eat?

After eating cooked foods at family reunions, parties, etc, I often craze the taste and energy of raw, living foods a great deal. Once you begin to retrain your mind-body's conception of fullness and taste, it's amazing how the body begins to craze the natural taste of foods.

Good point. If you're too radical in your switch then it's hard to maintain. As you incorporate more raw foods you'll start feeling better. When you revert back to eating chicken, rice etc. you're energy will start in decline. You won't like the feeling it gives you compared to the 'high' of nutritional, live foods.

Some raw foodists drink raw dairy products. Casein is actually a human protein as well, but it becomes harmful to the human body when pasteurized,homogenized, and/or defattened.
I have a question - Can you only eat fruits and veggies? What about proteins from dairy products like milk and cheese? Are those allowed, I know they tend to be processed often, but they come organic and thats what I like to drink, along with soymilk. Any tips?

Lots of people mock or try to debunk raw food diets. I eat a not particularly strict macrobiotic-ish diet with maybe 60% raw food. Honestly, you eat more RAW you feel better. You get virtually no colds and when you do they last no more than 48 hours and never get severe. Your skin is fresher, you smell better, your teeth looker cleaner, you have more energy and feel less 'heavy' inside.
In response to the show host, Yes raw food IS tasty, ~all tastes are acquired, yes even for sugar, salt, fried etc. ~So my suggestion: Do research and find out what is whole unprocessed food, and slowly transition to it. Find friends who eat the same, because they are also looking for a like-minded friend in you.
Hi :) Thanks...there are many factors - you may not be eating ENOUGH raw food or foods that don't suit you, are imbalanced, etc. The main issue though, is you're starting to DETOX. Any chance your body gets to release, it takes. My partner, Matt Monarch, explains detox clearly in his book 'Raw Success'.
Try slowly eating more raw, while also removing the main 'nasties' - processed starches & refined sugars. You'll see dramatic shifts. Angela. xxx

me to i cant stand cookied veges but i cant stop eating cooked food well wish me luck i just went on a work out program and a diet im hoping to lose 40 pounds
Angela Stokes is definitely an inspiration! I enjoyed watching this clip! What a difference in 3 years. =) Not only her weight but her skin. I can't imagine the difference in how she feels!

Why is it that when I eat a raw meal, I feel as if I havent eaten a thing all day, and I get really hungry and weak like my blood sugar has dropped.
