  • The way she keeps the chaconne just flowing onward, all the while adding even more ornaments and roulades, is just thrilling, intoxicating!

  • (More) Yes, the instrument is excellent and beautifully tuned in meantone, and the performing environment is both elegant and fully cooperative acoustically. But I mention these things mostly to set them aside fittingly. What to me is most remarkable is the performance by this wonderful musician, Paola Erdas. In her hands the speech of the harpsichord becomes more vocal, more fluid; its melodic character more eloquent. Listening to her playing, the harpsichord, yes, sings (as another wrote).

Really thank you to your punctual observations! I hope you could enjoy the other videos with Paola Erdas and also all our videos in general. Romeo Ciuffa

  • Just heard her in Utrecht with a completely different repertoire (Spanish). Great music, great interpreter. The sound is magic, even on YT.

  • I did see her in Utrecht too. The festival was a treat indeed! So many interpretations of Antonio de Cabezon in a row by so many harpsichord- and organplayers was smashing indeed.

  • Indeed you can play this over and over again and never get bored by the hypnotic sound. Perfect harpsichord for playing this pièce de clavecin.

  • Thank you a lot

  • Marvelous. Wonderful. Breathtaking.
