I thought this video was not only educational, but explained dementia in a more detailed and simplified way to understand what's happening. My Dad has Alzheimers/ Dementia and 10 days ago he was fine, looking forward to seeing me, now he's in a geriatric/psych ward sedated, in th aggressive/ combative stage. It's like he's a vegetable talking gibberish, the next i got him to say he loved me, but not my name. I can't wrap my brain around it, he snapped over night! Dr. Bourgeios explained it well!
this lady Sharon Snir wrote an inspirational book on how to deal with family members with dementia. i highly recommend watching her youtube video. its called:
"Looking For Lionel-How I Lost and Found my Mother through Dementia"
There's a small and excellent online depression support group called Depression Hangout that is always open to anyone who is struggling with mental health problems (not just depression). It's run in its own chaotic way by its members who meet regularly in the chat room and it's a great place to seek and provide help and support, make new friends and even just have a laugh. (We all need that too!) To join just go to depressionhangout-dot-blogspot-dot-com.
RUInternational There is hope for the Hopeless that are struggling with depression. Reformers Unanimous is a faith-based addictions program. We maintain an 82% percent success rate! Check us out @Ruinternational.
Fucking great, Nj513. So funny. It`s like them 2 cows stood in a field, one says to t`other, "What do you reckon to all this talk about Mad Cow Disease, then ?" Other cow replies, " What the fuck`s that got to do with me ? I`m a helicopter !"
THANK YOU! great lecture!!
