Ofcourse they are not literally comparing with god, How can you possibly compare anyone/. anything/ with god. Its a way of saying that they really like him, and are greatful for him that he came for their simple wedding and made it ecstatic

@jessethandi i no wut u mean, but i dnt think they r really camparing him with God..cuz in punjab wen a guest cmes to ur house u call them rab, its just a way of giving them respect...dnt no if u ever heard this srk song called "Aisa desh hai mera" from Veer Zara movie. In the lyrics they say "mera desh mein mehmano ko bhagwan kaha jata hai, wo jahi ka ho jata hai jo kahi se bhi aata hai" which means in mai country visitors are considered gods, you're made at home no matter where you come from.
