  • this looks like it's on atari

  • like at 2:00 - 2:10

  • hey um...there's subliminal skulls in this game. the first part where he's driving in the hummer, the left side smoke looks like a skull several times.

  • vibrating playstation controller. now this is real!

  • Just play ArmA II with OA, possibly ACE

  • BF3

  • This isn't about the graphics, it is to help the war vets. They have these for soldiers now that help them train for there missions in iraq before they leave. This has helped soldiers out alot, and even if the graphics are bad, it is still helping them to go in there and get there job done. It's just like going over football plays in pratice before your big game........ only there praticing for a big mission.

  • @USARMY96B It doesn't help them train for missions, it helps them get through PTSD. It's a treatment not a practice.

  • Shit, give them a copy of Arma II and script the shit for them. Now THAT would cure some issues!

  • fuck the graphics, at least somebody is trying to make a difference for the ones who need it the most

  • @greenfish13 I love you.

  • I rather play BF2: Project reality

  • some ppl love old graphics like battlefield 1942 and call of duty 1 and some ppl not !

like me i love old graphics

  • and, of course, this is only being used to heal those poor soldiers.

Perish the thought that it might be used to desensitize them.

  • I've noticed you guys (or most of you) have been suggesting they play a game with better graphics such as COD. Clearly, you bastards don't see the point in this. It isn't some video game they sit down and play. The "Virtual Iraq" simulator is exactly just that, a simulator. They are trying to recreate the memory of the veteran so that he/she can feel more in control of their PTSD. All you bastards think about is graphics.

  • Because people are stupid as fuck and dont understand what this actually does. Cause they are like "Ooo call of duty is a war game with better graphics" although it doesnt matter about the graphics, its the timing. People are dumb as fuck and clearly dont understand that cod is a game, not a simulator.

  • got your point and i think same. some entertainment games which only point is killing doesnt felt same like that one no matter graphics

  • Why they dont just play COD 4 ???

  • totally agree... codmw2 destroys those graphics and on veteran is kinda realistic.... change a few maps to make it iraq or afghanistan and you are set, plus they could eat cheetos and listen to surround sound and not have to wear that stupid visor.

  • i totally agree even more, and the good new is that we will have even better maps for multiplayer mode hahaha!!! Online games will never get boring and these poor guys suffer from war would forget by time to time...

  • Call of duty is not realistic... at all. Its a shitty made game that trys to say its amazingly good. Its not a simulator so it sucks. The visor is better than a tv screen because its better HD and when you move your characters head moves. So you sir, fail.

  • play COD, the graphics there are so much better.

We can afford to make games for money but not for veterans?

    somethings not right...

  • dude... is graphics all u care about???

    thats just....

    think what u want

  • @hypertreeko

We can't affor to make games for the Vets becuase out governments pour trillions into a war and ruin our economies.

  • Make InfinityWard to make this shit so its more realistic ;)

  • call of duty sucks dude... it´s so unrealistic!

lock.. in cod you´re in combat all the time, in real war 99% of time is waiting for the enemy.

if cod was realistic, the playtime for campain would be 560 hours

  • No, with the gogles i mean

  • i think porn will help them better :D

  • I have my own cure for post traumatic stress disorder

here is it. Avoid the whole occurrence by making a stand and stopping all wars.

  • @postivefutureuk ok... how?

  • stfu positivefutureuk u dum idiot , making a stand stops nothing ,go kill yourself

  • @postivefutureuk ha that might be a bit hard seeing as its been part of Human history for 5,000 years... "War is but continued politics by other means" ~ Karl von Clausewitz

It is good that things like these can be developed to help those we gave everything to defend their nation and its peoples... "be grateful before critical" ~ me

  • Ok you Keyboard Warriors, this is not a talk about MW2 or OFP:DR whatsoewer. How the fuck can you judge what soldiers feel after being to hell and back? That is no more a game, where you "die" respawn, "kill" someone, "die" again, respawn. Grow up and go to Iraq or Afganistan and see if you'll survive for one fucking day out there.

  • I'm not sure how much I like this. When I was very three, I was facing the barrel of an airgun and did not think I would survive (hey, no bird I'd seen had survived), so I do know a bit about being in a stressful situation -- in my case, the situation around my getting shot in the head.

While verbalizing may help with 'letting it out,' the other effects remain: when it gets dark at a certain rate, I still feel like I am going to die. I do not see this treatment helping with things like that.

  • I agree, this system may aid a little, but personally i feel its very hard to get over such a traumatizing experience. My friend is very uncomfortable in town as he was mugged once by a gang of six. There is no way he'd be in the city in the dark on his own.

  • @faisalhalim the point of this thing is to identify what are the stressful events that lead to the PTSD so that the experts can tackle them. most people don't even noe what are the cause of their hidden anxieties. Hence this thing is useful to bring out all the hidden shocks and hurts that they may have.

  • @mingze123: if that is mentioned somewhere in the video, then I somehow missed that. In that case, thanks for pointing it out. Since I haven't been part of any military action I might not be in a position to talk about whether or not this approach is valid.

  • why the hell are people saying ModerWarfare would be pointless, Arma2 Or Dragon Rising would work much much better

  • Well not all of us like Arma 2 or Dragon rising. Id rather vote Modern Warfare 2

  • Its not about What you like, Its about whats better, End of the Day Moder Warfare 2 is a First Person Shooter, Arma2 is a War Sim. Now if you are training troops using a "Game" more or less It you want whats gona do the job Not whats funner to play to sum or looks "cooler" if it gets the job done use it thats why Arma and Dragons Rising would be far better than Cod:Mw2 but its up to the Militery witch they use but they do use Arma2 Already for some training evedence on :Arma2 Offical site

  • They should use Modern Warfare 2... More Realistic.... and its fun too... ^^

  • if its a matter of realism, the army uses better games, like VBS2

and the objective is not "fun", its therapeutic

  • there is a better method for PTSD treatment called EMDR this looks expensive i doubt that government will be able to afford it not for all veterans at least.

  • They need to get some advice from Infinity-ward

  • shouldve used the Modern Warfare 2 Engine.

  • They should use Arma 2.

  • ArmA , Modern Warfare , and Dragon Rising will work perfectly too.

  • Well.. too bad the world is a BAD PLACE .. only because people like us made it to be...

If you think the world is good.. its going to be good..

if you think this is hell you will allways live in hell...

Even starwars nerds know this :

Fear leads to anger..anger leads to hate... hate leads to suffering...

    why suffer?

  • why the hell thy was there in first place dammit

  • the concept is cool but the graphics suck

  • and how did you handle the war in Iraq? It's not about the graphic. It's not supposed to be very realistic because you don't want to get more scars, right?

  • my point was that the idea is very good but for it to be used more wideley i think it would need to have some better graphics not to scare but to assist in the recovery because if it isint somewhat realistic it wont do its intended purpose.

  • She says "EYE-RACK". What a moron!

  • yea

  • The game's not as gory as I was hoping..

  • You could here the tension in the vets voice as he described the memory. Very interesting stuff.

  • As opposed to being graphically awesome like commercial games that are made for entertainment, not therapy.

  • This reminds me of a therapy my son got after my ex came back from Iraq. My son started showing signs of PTSD from the traumatic experiences my ex was putting him through. It was called Neurofeedback and it helped him a lot. My ex is also thinking of doing Neurofoodback, but this seems like it would be more specific. it also helps with ADHD, but it helps the brain relearn how to funnel and process information.

It;s obvioudly made to tailor fit to recreate each individuals experience.

  • CoD 4?lol they should play ArmA 2

  • I agree. That one looks like it wasn't made in the late nineties and is easy to edit. It's even got the head tracking, so I hope they switch to it.

Most gamers are about the age of enlistment, so I'd think there would be problems with people complaining that it didn't look real enough.

  • And the creators of ArmA where initially making this kind of training software for the US Army so yeah, it will help a lot i think

  • COD4!!!

  • @FreemanPK Call of Duty: Modern Iraq... ?

  • you know if it help them that great, but I still want to play it :D.

  • Shiet...

  • the graphics suck on this game lol
