this is possibly my favourite song hands down, and upon hearing this cover my only reaction was: 'holy shit'. this was astounding. i feel like the original is polished and subtle, understated, but this really captures the rawness behind the lyrics. it's much obviously closer to the heart; not necessarily better, but it's breathtaking imo.

I think that if you didn't like Amanda Palmer to begin with, you'd think this cover was bad, just because you're not familiar with her voice.

I think she did an incredible job with it. And yeah, it really does sound like it was one of her songs, like she wrote it or something. No, nobody can outdo T&S with a cover, and their version is obviously better, but AP's version is high up there with it.
