I like the waves at the end. Those are big fun, and the multiple loops are just great - looks like seven or eight in succession! The circles as part of the framework are cool. I've noticed circles and triangles impart a lot of inherent strength in construction.
Very cool. One of your best, I think. Two questions:
1. Look at 0:50. Are the large, medium, small circles filling the overall rectangle the 'skeleton' to which the tracks & switches are affixed? Did you weld those in place first, before the tracks & such? Just curious.
2. The loops at bottom right are fun. See 2:04. It looks as if something dramatically slows the ball just as it comes out of the loops. How is that happening? or is it just my imagination?
Thanks! I like this one, too. The large, medium and small circles are the frame or 'skeleton'. That is made first, then the lift is added, then everything else.
Something does dramatically slow the ball...it's the video slowed down. I slowed it on purpose, but it's hard to tell because it's not long enough... good eye though.
I feed the wild birds outside. The birds you hear are a good sized flock of black birds in the walnut tree right outside the shop door. I commented to my son on my way through the yard to take the video "Man, those birds are noisy!" :He agreed. :D
