  • I love it.

  • is this an arabian?

  • she looks like she's humping

  • im not sure whether its just me or, i learn it was bad to kick the horse to make them go faster, i just squeeze them and they go fine and it doesn't hurt their ribs

  • all these people in these EquestrianLifeVideos look like they're humping the horse at the sitting trot

i mean yeahh, its hard but i look WAY better then that and iv'e only practiced the sitting trot for a few lessons

  • lol last time i did this on a standardbred it started pacing

  • I like the video lessons...but its a downer when theres always a suggestion to read literature , talk to your coach, its like people are uncertain of their knowledge.

  • Comments below: I am glad you guys apologized and the there are a few decent people on the internet.

  • In my lessons, We have to do these things in a canter as well.... Sometimes, we canter without stirrups, no reins and with eyes closed. It's so fun! :D

  • way too much movement in her hips.

  • ok, i usually dont notice the humping motions when people trot and canter, but this was way to... i dont know.... out there!!! i couldnt help but laugh.. haha

  • I never did any of these things wen I learned how to ride for me all my trainers horse did was test me, he can b difficult and is very bouncy but I stil learnd to hav a good position...haha last week I used q different saddle and the stirups were either rlly short or rlly long so I cudnt keep my feet in haha

  • wait id your riding without stirrups, whats the point of a saddle?

  • @teenyrific it teaches you balance

  • @ArabianImages so does being bareback, but my friend explained its easier to have a place to sit.....pshhhh, saddles are for wimps (jk jk jk i use a saddle...hehe)

  • @teenyrific yea i do bareback all the time and i ride with a saddle. i first learned to ride bareback then upgraded to saddle =)

  • @teenyrific Do you even ride? The first saddles designed were without stirrups, only a seat. Stirrups for dressage are ACTUALLY meant to loosely rest your feet in. Sadly this isn't taught well and there's too much weight on them which actually makes it heavier on the horse. Even when you post in your trot, you shouldn't put weight on it, the movement should come from the hip. The stirrups are for that little extra support and security.

  • @quizillafreak Yes I do ride!!! Not at a snobby barn with professional trainers, it's at a barn where a recent college grad that has ridden horses all her life gives lessons to a select few, and she isn't a crazy horse lady who knows everything there is to know about saddles and history. Plus I don't do dressage, and I know that saddles didn't have stirrups to begin with, Romans used stirrup-less saddles, and they weren't added until the Middle Ages. Gosh, why is everyone on you tube so mean?

  • @teenyrific I'm not being mean, it's a reaction to your question. :) Your question didn't sound all that nice and sweet to me either. I know how mean youtube can be, but just think, this is a place where we can say the things we think when we can't say them in public. It's not just youtube, it's the entire world.

    Welcome, fledgeling, to reality.

  • @quizillafreak sorry, I thought you were one of those people that just hates on everything, what I was really asking is, whats the point of a saddle w/o stirrups if you can just go bareback? I think horses bare back is more comfy than a saddle...

  • @teenyrific It's fine, I'm sorry too, I overreacted as well. The point of riding without stirrups is to become independant of them them. So you don't put too much weight on them. The proper way. That's my reason for practising this, I don't know what the motive is for other people, but I bet there's tons. I personally think it's easier to sit the trot and canter without them.

  • @quizillafreak @teenyrific I see comments often on youtube noticing the hostility and ignorance and just wanted to acknowledge how you two were able to take a step back to resolve miscommunications. The world needs more role models like you guys :0) Good job...

  • @brendubmsncom Thanks. :)

  • @teenyrific good point

  • u know what i learned from a professional trainer is. your not a real rider if u use spurs. u have to learn how to ride without theam. And u can tell that horse dose not need spurs he needs a good leg.

  • @jumpermarkie I agree! I've ridden with spurs once and i don't like it, i don't even like riding with a crop!

  • this is a little over-generalization - which seems to come from ignorance regarding the proper use of spurs. Are you going to tell me someone like GM who is internationally renowned is not a REAL rider, he says that spurs and a crop are standard and should always be with you. I think a REAL rider is someone who can have these but know when NOT to use them, and have the leg control to wear spurs without having them "on" the horse all the time. real riders have feel and control.

  • lol what R they doing?? so funny

  • I agree this rider uses way to much spur...all the time. The poor horse never gets to move without being constantly jabbed.

  • With you tieing stuff to the girth from the bit if sammy were to trip she would fall flat on her face and vickie could be killed......... not very clever now.

  • i LOVE lunge live lessons!!!!!

  • Thatsca great video can u send me in private message where your located, I would love to come and get lessons there. Thanks anna

  • how would vickie like it if i spurred her fatass
