@ImaLanger Many thanks, dear Mike - I am very happy that you enjoyed it! And he Raven thanks you, too! I have nearly enough of my paintings for a lifetime of tunes! Lorna
@myaccordionhistory Thanks very much, Leon. I think that the accordion needs to be given some credit. Once I allowed myself time to gradually learn the Roland, I started taking greater pleasure in playing the instrument. The increase in practice time, plus overcoming the recording hurdles, has furthered my playing. However, it is still a challenge for me to record easily. Many pieces require 15-20 tries, and then I still criticize this or that about the video. I do love it all, though! Lorna

@zigguytare Chers Zigguy, oui, l'oiseau bleu du bonheur est avec moi alors que je suis jouer de l'accordéon! Merci beaucoup pour votre douces pensées! Lorna
A lovely, lovely song, dear Lorna, played with the greatest of poetic emphasis and true musical grace! Some of the sounds recorded here remind me of the soundtrack to the motion picture from 1963, "How the West Was Won." Alfred Newman provided the musical compositions for the film, aided by the able choral arranger/ conductor Ken Darby. In some of the selections, Carl Fortina plays his accordion, especially in the song entitled "Comes Share My LIfe." You so gratifyingly evoke tenderness.
@FromHolbergsTime Thank you so kindly, dear Glenn. I am delighted that you enjoy this tune. I hope you will listen to Andy Stewart of Silly Wizard. He has an amazing voice - the song is a sad tale and his ornaments alone can bring you to tears! What a lovely and heart-wrenching song. The instrumental is beautiful, yet the human voice is capable of bringing us to a different level of understanding. Thanks again! Lorna
@FromHolbergsTime Glenn, I just listened to Come Share My Life - an mp3 sample - and it is incredibly beautiful. I would love to learn this tune. The Roland has strings to accompany the concertina solo. I'll search for the music. Thank you for sharing it with me. Lorna
wow I've never seen much of this instrument, I didn't realize how cool it can sound. It looks like it' hard to play! Great job
