Question - What kind of Taylor guitar are you playing? The upper register notes don't drown out.

Thanks! That Taylor is a 412E. It's a shallow body which allows for upper register notes to pierce through moreso than a large hollow body. I love it for finger picking but I'm starting to itch to get a Martin for the warmer/guttier tones. I have a Yari that does the job too though.

I dunno. All I can say is that if you're having trouble harnassing both at the same time then always sacrafice the guitar playing (simplify it) to allow to concentrate and deliver vocally. There's always space in between you can rock out guitar on.

I hated the killers when they first came out. I didnt want to like them. Then I heard "sams town" and I was hooked. Your cover of this song was absolutely awesome. This is one of my favorite songs and you did if complete justice. I had a similar first encounter with this song. I was driving home late one night and I heard it and couldnt buy the cd fast enough. I just recorded it on one track as you see in the video with one microphone. Then took splices from the two video feeds to piece together afterwards. The audio is just one continuous uneditted live performance. I'm not sure if this answers your question?

Not an area of expertise of mine and I am not personally posting videos. But I watch a lot, and the audio for yours stands out immediately. You have a good voice the recording picks up a lot of nuance, while staying free of background noise/hiss, distortion, etc.
