  • @badhorsee,no remake because someone would just fuck it up,some music was just made to b left alone, who's gonna try to remake it justin bieber, dont think he can sing anyway,he'll b like leaf garrett in a couple of years

  • i was on the east side of Detroit doing the same thing. Too bad we lost that, along with the music we lost our souls. Look at us a hold; so very sad. JZ been called black women bitches for the past 10 years now he has a daughter and says i'm gonna stop. Too little, too late we lost a generation because of that stupid hate filled music.

  • THE BEST

  • Funny how all 70's songs seem to have that same "opening" beat...

  • SOLID TUNE

  • this type of soul is gone forever from music because black people in music have sold their souls for material wealth, that's why the music sucks I call it McMusic!!..cause it's fast food music no substance this here is that soul food!!..takes me back to watching my mama and her girlfriends play cards all night on the southside of chicago when I was a kid,and this the kind of music they played!!,all while frying some chicken up for us kids!!

  • @stryfetc ,, couldnt agree with you more and its very sad --- fine music like this only belongs to the past and thats not good news

  • @jasonptify I knew somebody felt me!!,thanks!!

  • @stryfetc - youre welcome and thanks for your fine taste in music

  • @stryfetc Agreed! ....and cRAP "music" has a lot to answer for !!

  • @Dipso1985 even hip-hop which is a part of me that's my generation too, used to have soul in it!!....at least it did when I was growing up,before it was mutated into this uber-materialistic,no substance monstrosity you described as "cRap" music!!,it's like anything else though, when money and popularity and corporate interest comes out goes artistic integrity and substance it's not the artists fault alone!!

  • @stryfetc Kudos to you .... very well made, articulate comment.

  • @Dipso1985 thank you!!

  • @stryfetc,all music is gone so r u,when out of things to say use the race card dumbass, there is nothing more to say to u they have music out what do u have,a lot of artist sold their soul's not just black people, and we sold style too slang and a lot of other things that different race are always wanting to die to use,so get off of that shit but ask your mom'ma what she thinks about your opinion,jackass..

  • @007BMC WOOOOWW!!!!..you feel better now??...get a life!!!....half of what you said is beligerent garbage that makes no sense...but whatever!!

  • @stryfetc i do feel better now,you look like garbage, you get one but fuck off..

  • @stryfetc i know it was beligerent,that's the idea...

  • No one ever did it better!

  • Wow------never knew this song was this old...damend I was 7 yrs old!!!

  • Mr. Bromley, Do you have to get on here and post words that Gordon Ramsay uses in his Hell's Kitchen Show? Gee, we are trying to set a good example for today's youth and you are setting a bad example. No wonder we are having trouble with today's youth, and them disrespecting us older folk!

  • i can remember washing the car in the driveway back in the day- this song on the radio, timeless for sure - 70's have their own emotions-everlasting

  • I have loved this song from the moment I heard years ago. This song has everything, the beat, the bass, the lyrics and the voice. I wish Al coulda got more songs like this to sing.

  • Singers today could take a lesson from this Gentleman...

  • MAY HE REST IN PEACE FOR ALL ETERNITY...

  • First heard this on Malcolm in the middle and searched high and low to find out what it was, SO SEXY and sends shivers through me, can listen to it over and over. WOW

  • Alas , we all meet our maker, but love endurs, in great music, great artists, great writers, thanks for sharing. a classic that will

immortalize the Great Al Wilson ,RIP.

  • This song reminds of a broken heart I lived thru in 1973 . I have'nt heard it for almost 40 years and it stills stirs deep emotions in me . I still think of you Cindy

  • 3 people need immediate medical attention

  • Fabulous

  • this song it reminds me of scotland

  • I LOVE THIS SONG I STILL BE SLAPPIN IT AND IT CAME OUT WAYY BEFORE I WAS BORN,, THE OLDIES IS WHERE ITS AT REAL TALK!!!!!!!!!!

  • I cant imagine that this generation of kids..will eventually be in a nursing home..booty bouncing to beyonce....I was lucky to have grown up on music like this..pure class.

  • oh my god the beat to this, this has become one of my favorite songs, this is really something you can just kick back and listen to all day lol, muuuuuch better than today's music which is a joke.

  • Love the music, I first heard it on radio when driving home on a sunset. We all missed the past compared from right now. Don't you agree?

  • The best song ever!! One person with no life and way toooooo much time to hate. I mean, if you don't like the song, why sign on to listen to it, then, comment. To that one person who still lives in their parents basement and never has kissed a girl...SO SAD!

  • This is one of the greatest love songs EVER! Pure and simple and heartfelt, almost makes me want to cry everytime I hear it. So sad to hear that Al passed, RIP Al Wilson.

  • Yes.....this is one of my favorite songs. I grew up listening to Show and Tell, back when my mother use to play this album by Al Wilson. Old school will always be around. Hall of Fame forever. This brings back so many memories. Thank you so much DJ Buddy Love!

  • my jam i was 8 yrs old when this came out

  • man that is some good shit

  • I WAS 10 BUT I LOOOOVED THIS SONG AND HIS VOICE.

  • Dare I say...best soul song yet?!

  • @lrgoldie1 or I'll take you there by the staple singers, or King Floyd Groove me

  • I dougie to this song at work lol. Have any of you noticed he sounds like Larry from "The Floaters".

  • Love the song! Had to hide the video part because of the URL flashing at the bottom....too distracting.

  • Senior year 1974, in love with my boyfriend, carefree, and loving life. Wonder if he ever thinks about what a great girl he gave up.

  • Even with 25,976 views, it says something about a song if nobody disliked it...

  • Incredibly, the first time I ever heard this song was back in 2000 when I first moved to Los Angeles. For those of you who have never been, you've gotta visit, its an incredible place.

  • This song is timeless..it never gets old...I can listen to it all day long...way to go Al...Love you man

  • @Cardwiz428

i agree completely i listen to it every day.

  • What a beautiful song, what a strong voice, what a pity (RIP)

  • Love it!

  • what a great song this is, always used to put this on the jukebox 1974.

  • This song kinda builds up from the beginning.....Johnny Taylor, Tyrone Davis and Al Wilson really know how to bring it!

  • Would love to hear the Eagles cover this number. Glenn Frey lead vocal and that perfect 4 part harmony in place of the 70's Female fluff. They could also work in a killer JW solo. A Detroit kinda thing. Outstanding piece.

  • @Ready4Show There's something desperately wrong with you

  • @peterzang

I agree lol! This is my all time favorite here...So many memories are held in the span of this 3:25 minute AWESOME hit! I mean who can re-make this great classic! NO ONE CAN! Not even the Eagles! No matter how great they were, all talent is different, so if they couldn't even re-make it, surely no talent today can re-make it either!

  • This is MY ALL time favorite song. I first heard this song when I was about 7. Loved it then and I LOVE IT NOW!. R.I.P. Mr. Wilson!

  • These songs take me back to when I was lil and my grandma would put on her records. Thanks for uploading these

  • @MissLibraLady

    what a sweet comment.

  • I can't enjoy the video because of your flashing .com. Make it stop..... please.

  • i get a party in my pants every time i hear this song...

  • @lorimneal Me too ;)

  • I like Pebo's version too.

  • In some parts, Robert Palmer sounded just like him, I can so hear him singing this (RIP).

    Great song Al!

  • @lalba07 Yeah, I kinda hear that, too. Maybe they can duet in heaven.

  • @lalba07 You know that you're right on on that one.

  • This is what people were listening to, while waiting in lines at the gas pumps, during the energy crisis in the winter of 1973-1974!

  • @njot33 I remember. Odd and even days depending on the numbers on your license plate. Last digit? Don't quite remember.

  • now this takes me back to thoese days of great music that was totaly real

  • I can't remember when I first heard this song, but it was probably around 2000. Ever since, I have loved this song. This is such a great song. There is no doubt how much better the music was back then. Nothing made today sounds as good as this. You also cannot underestimate the contribution black artists have made to popular American music through the years. There are so many fabulous singers from years ago, and the fact that their music is still played today is a testament to their timelessness

  • Love this song!!!

  • Grown Folks Music!!!!!

  • I had the distinct pleasure of performing in 2007 on the same show as this great, underrated, under appreciated artist, the Al Wilson. It was fantastic occasion for me cause I had loved this song as a child. His voice was still great and this song will keep his memory alive for all times!
