THIS WHOLE THING WAs aBSURD TYPICAl of spaNISH BRUTAlity ND GERMAn egocentrism, whaT THE HELL WHERE THEY GONNA do even if they hAD REAched shore? 30 000 aGAinst the whole pop of uk? aBSURD, THE GUY WAS NUTS, And the spaNISH WHERE IDIOTS, And we told them this from the staRT NOBODY Gambles THE WHOLE HAnd if they dont know they aRE GOING TO WIN
wait so both english commanders at different times went AWOL to plunder spanish ships at the expense of their country and their navy? what kind of amature crap is that? no wonder they lost this war
@gopconservative78 no nation is sissi or strong they are all the same only thing that make s them diffrent in battle is leadership of general ,training and advanced wepons you simply can t say that all peaple of some country are sissis
@gopconservative78 ok you know what ,you americans are fat and stupid and they think they are better then the rest of the world but they are not . and you know what ,in first world war french defeted the german NOT THE BRITHIS NOT THE AMERICANS but i think you dont read history to now those thinks i think you are brainwashed and you dont se thinks right way (sorry for bad english)
@TheVikiLaki Thats a rather ignorant statement. While Verdun was a huge French battle, the Somme and Passchendaele were majority British affairs. The Gallipoli campaign while a failure was also a British attempt. While out of the three major powers the Americans did by far the least they still had an important role in the victory. British imperial forces lost 1,115,000 men, france lost 1,700,00 men, Russia lost 3,300,000 men. This includes civilian casualities, which for Britain was very low.
@louisfriend72 I know , but i was soooooo angry at that guy who said "do you know the rules of french warfere? 1. never be led by a frenchmen 2. let the americans do all the fighting 3. if 1 and 2 fail surrender to the nerest german " so i tryed to say to him that the french did the major part against germans in the westen front .
@gopconservative78 actually in true historical accounts and the tallie shows us that the french actually won more than they ever lost ,,, as well they fought more than most countrys ,,, look it up they are not cowards , and they rarely surrendered
@gopconservative78 yeahh the french conquered something the English never conquered or any other empire has conquered all of western russia and msot of europ something no one since the roman empire had achived and this in a span of 10 years so i yeah they don't surrender very easly....
Ho ho warpedcomedy. And thanks much for this britpat. Some good gen the Cdn. history books never taught me. Kill the dogans! (just kidding, I married 3 of them. Not at once though. Come to think of it maybe I just never learned.
England is a nation. Great Britain is an island, on which are three nations: England, Wales and Scotland. The UK is a country, a state, consisting of those three nations plus Northern Ireland.
Why didn't the Spanish use their grappling hooks when the English came close? Wasn't that (combined with the numbers of soldiers aboard) their primary weapon?
so im guessing nobody had any ships of the line at the time?
