So is Bane the only man to beat Batman? I really cant wait for Dark Knight rises. At first I wasent that excited about it but after seeing the trailer Im getting chills just thinking about it.

For sales sake and for the sake of revamping a character, for the new decade that was once the 90's, DC Comics needed the breaking of the Batman to happen to introduce him to a new generation, with a new suit and more challenging events. Remember Ben the Spider-man clone? That and other revamps for Marvel didn't work too well in the 90's and were in danger of filing for bankruptcy. DC was smart with the death of Superman and Knightfall. I love Marvel and am glad Joe Quesada saved their asses.

Batman fans don't realize the only real Batman and Bane fight that counted was the first one when Batman got his back snapped and was beaten. Later comics of Bane's incarnation don't matter just like Doomsday in Superman comics he a prop not a OH NO! Its like Oh its Bane now. While Bane made Batman his bitch in their first comic. And if ya compare Superman and Doomsday fight Superman went out victories landing the killing blow on Doomsday ending it.

So you're saying just because Batman was at his low point that it was not a win for Bane? Batman figures out the weaknesses of his opposition - fatigue is one of them - and he prevails. Intel on Batman's enemies is information where it puts him in a place of leverage, making his enemies vulnerable.

You guys have double standards in logic. Bane broke the bat on these terms. He had intel on Batman and used this as his leverage. It's not a matter of fandom but logic. To say otherwise is stupid.

Thanks for this, only things I read of Bane was Knightfall and Hour of the Quake. I wondered how Bane would fair against a fresh Batman instead of the one damn near on his death bed and caught by surprise in his own home no less.
