Hmm... I'll never fully understand girls (or for that matter teen boys). But maybe queer girls want to attract girls so they look like teen boys... I have no idea. Also I think the hair encapsulates an air of innocence.
When you say that a motivation for the haircut might be because lesbians aren't interested in attracting guys, I think it's interesting because nowadays there are a fair number of guys who like short hairstyles, and not just bobs, but pixies or Tegan&Saras or Biebers or whatever. I personally find long hair kind of boring and prefer short hair. I guess it kind of fits in with androgyny becoming more popular like was talked about in the other videos.

I have unlesbian un standardized (wtf!?) hair cuz my hair is past my shoulders and wavy but I'm too les to wanna do anything with it lol so I just let it air dry and be wavy. so if I get it cut SHORT it'll be for me and not to fit the lesbian "standard".

Im all up on the perspective that shorter, more androgynous haircuts do not typically attract men, I realized not too long ago that it is one of the benefits of my short haircut. hah....

When you say that a motivation for the haircut might be because lesbians aren't interested in attracting guys, I think it's interesting because nowadays there are a fair number of guys who like short hairstyles, and not just bobs, but pixies or Tegan&Saras or Biebers or whatever. I personally find long hair kind of boring and prefer short hair. I guess it kind of fits in with androgyny becoming more popular like was talked about in the other videos.
