@MrRobertSama The game itself is great such as the abundance in makeshift combination weapons that you can make, and the concept and storyline is actually very great! The controls and "Go kill the roots" part of the game were the only bad things IMO.

@crazycat690 Well I feel the game had brilliant graphics, great voice acting and plot, as well as the beautiful soundtrack. We're all different in interpreting and judging games. I'm probably biased when it comes to the series since I played AITD 2 as a kid and have loved it ever since. Also, did you see the new Silent Hill game is using a similar gameplay mechanic to this AITD? It's sad to see that SH has changed so much. Even Akira himself said the series no longer holds merit.

@maravich12 Well I only own this on Ps2 and played the demo on Ps3, and the graphics... Well surely they're okay, in fact the atmosphere and artstyle is great, voice acting and writing could have been better instead of having a grumpy character saying "fuck" all the time. While the gameplay was a bit enjoyable, it had alot of flaws IMO. And yes I have seen the new Silent Hill, while I've actuallt missed all the previous SH games, I kinda like what I see in Downpour :/

This game didn't HAVE a final boss.

That being one large reason why everyone feels cheated upon getting to the end.

I STILL haven't worked out what the point of going to the gate is. Considering that if you don't go there, Lucifer is released. If you do go there, Lucifer is released in a way that screws you over personally. WHAT THE HELL?

I bought this game for $10 from Gamestop I thought this game was amazing at times. The only thing I really hated was the driving physics in this game was horrible. I have the 360 version the ps3 did a lot better job I heard from the reviews. I got all 1000/1000 achievements fun game. I didn't like either endings but the bad one was cool "I'm the fucking universe" I love the music in this game and graphics were awesome the combat wasn't that bad. 6/10 from me

DO NOT GET THE WII OR PS2 VERSIONS OF THIS GAME!!!! i got the wii one, identical to the ps2 one and they SUCK the story is different than the 360 or PS3 there are no bosses, the storyline makes no sense and its next to impossible to play. you cant even combine items... i heard the 360 and ps3 versions were great though. i have a ps3 now, is it worth getting?

If you have a PS3, this game is a must buy. Forget Wii, PS2, PC and Xbox360 version. PS3 version is the way it's meant to be played. I enjoyed it and I will never forget. Awesomness to the best.

I don't even know if any other game defeats this one, since it's very original and awesome to play. Such great atmosphere in a park. You won't believe it.

Yeees! If it is same as PC version then YES! AITD 5 in PC FUCKIN' ROOOCKS!! It got me all the time, it gripped me and I just HAD to play it to the end, that game nearly driven me mad. I was absolutely gripped by the surrounding creepy atmosphere and perfect storyline.

If the PS3 ver is identical to PC ver... then don't hesitate and just buy it, you will not regret.

I was a little dissappointed that there isn't really a final boss, except try to get a good shot at Crowley's head (which was really cool!!), but the game overall was a good experience and it really had a T.V. Series feeling to it, "Previously on Alone in the Dark....." I thought that was a brilliant idea!!

The controls were good and the voice acting was intense!! I also liked the disaster scene from the beggining!!

Overall: 7.9 Pretty decent!! :3

It seems Atari is circling the drain, so maybe another publisher or company will see the immense potential in the Alone in the Dark universe and make something of it. We can only hope!! It was definitely immersive, if a little rough around the edges. I loved the story-telling though, it's what kept me playing. 59th street memories will always resonate in my mind when I think of "dramatic video-game sequence" :P...wow that moment was pure epicsauce in a can...
