in the old tomb raiders what you had to do next wasn't obvious and you would get stuck for days, maybe even months.. and when you got it it was so much more satisfying.. in the recent tomb raider games they focus so much on the grafics that the story isn't as good, what you have to do is obvious and it has only a few levels.. i miss this tomb raider games :/

You can buy it on Amazon (UK) for like £4? You can also get a Tomb Raider 1 2 3 and 4 game pack all on one disk for £10. Well worth it. (All the games I mentioned are on PC Platform)

I have just brought the dreamcast version. The level I played was differernt. Does anyone know why (as in were there different versions for different consoles). It was the same location but a different level layout.

Also the controls were terrible. Can anyone tell me if the PS1 version is easier to control and which is the best version.

@Prodogene Actually, many TR fans who really have played all of the series considered TR 5 and AoD to be one of the least favorites. They are right. After playing the massive TR 4, the Chronicles felt like an expansion and somewhat unfinished. My favorite of all is TR 2. That game had a massive and well design game levels.

You got to love the Classic Tomb Raiders :)... How is it possible to beat a game where the main character saves the world countless times, never seems to get wet when in water, never gets dirty or remarkable never suffers any serious injury's and a person who never runs out of bullets :P lol... I use to have this for the PS1, but when it broke and we got rid of it, most of the games went with it as well, or they were sold. I use to have all the Tomb Raider games to from 1-5... I kept 1, 2 & 3, and I just recently re ordered Chronicles of Amazon last week and it has finally arrived :D, now just got TR4 to go and I have them all back :D :D :D. I've missed this game lol never got Past level 1 when I had it because I was to chicken to explore about :P. Great quality in your videos :D

i am a legend at tomb raider haha but tbh i cannot even pass the first level of the old tomb riaders i.e 1,2,3,4, chronocles.....

i can only play Legend, Annivarsary, Underworld etc...

the good quality ones...

Both of them are very good, I love the games. I don't think you are a worse gamer if you like the new ones better, they are beautiful, detailed, intresting. What Shroan meant is that those games are easier and shorter in the same time.

The classic TR games have an atmosphere, what the creators couldn't bring back, no matter how hard they tried. I don't think they were about jump from here to there, in their time they were the best! Try Chronicles or tr4 and you'll feel :)

Which version are you playing, the Playstation 1 version or PC? I'm curious because I know that the graphics improved on the Playstation 1 versions as the original series continued, with The Last Revelation having the best graphics. If you are playing the Playstation 1 version, then it appears that Eidos/Core added a lot of texture smoothing since The Last Revelation.

i played a few of these back in the day on the ps3 and now i'm playing this one for the first time on the pc. i almost checked those shelves in the tutorial section, but figured " naw, they wouldnt put anything there" and moved on. i'm still here, so i'll grab em, but i'm here because i'm lost. lol...i found this log of wood with something green in the middle, pulled every lever around the fountain area cept for one that i cant pull...(Friday:) "i said please dog! don't bite me!"

Great Walkthrough!;D The second giant knight with the hammer in the colosseum was too easy-.- Rome is full of bosses(Mechanic-Laserguard, First giant knight with sword,Larson,THE THREE DRAGONHEADS O_O and the last knight with hammer) but in the other parts (winter-station, island with the demon and the skyscraper) there is not at least one boss!-.- This is shit-.- But great played from you!;D

or just stand on the end of the crate and jump forward

It's been forever... I miss the way the camera slants when you turn while running... The monkey swings... The fact that her air time is like 3 times less than Earth's gravity, the flares, reverse rolls, backing up to pick up an item... I could rant on... I REALLY could.

Oh,my God.This brings a loads of memories back.I'm playing Underworld at the moment and i remembered the old TR game which my uncle and I played on PlayStation.Everything I remembered about that game was that there was a big prison(I thought it was a prison,now I know that those are Streets of Rome),those green things you can pick up and large,stone heads.I was searching on Google and Youtube for that game and it seems that I found it.Great video!!!

I'm not saying underworld was bad because it was awsome. The Kick ass Tomb Raider game I was talking about would combine underworld openworld enviornment's with annoverary gameplay. Alot to explore, enough levels to satisfe a Tomb Raider fan. What i would have done is that I would have made Tomb Raider legend and finish the story in one game. Then I would have made Tomb Raider anniversary 1 Tomb Raider anniversary 2 3,4,5, 6, and then release one kick ass Tomb Raider game after that that would kinda tie all Tomb Raider's 1-6 together and make an awesome. Tomb Raider Kick ass game. That's what I would have done any way. Note. The anniversaries should follow after the first anniversary that came out. That was a perfect remake.
