  • Thank you soooo much for that very beautiful rendition of Isa Lei!!! It is indeed a special for Fijians, but it makes it more special and beautiful, when non-Fijians sing it better than us!!! I salute you all, "23 on a good night"!!

    Vinaka vakalevu!

  • I am simply lost for words......how can you sing our farewell song so beautifully, and with such great diction and harmony, that you sound EXACTLY like us Fijians when we sing it!!! Talk about goosebumps, tears, joy, disbelief, and speechlessness all crashing down on you in one blow!!!

  • Lovely Fijian Farewell Song favoured for choir or group singing. Incidently American singer Dinah Shore once recorded Isa Lei back in the 50s - the English version of it, I believe.

  • Total either chicken-skin ( Hawaiian for goosebumps), or it makes me cry when I watch it - my absolute favorite bookmark. All of you wondeful people, looking like you either just got off work, or just turned around and came back to sing after work -- you are all totally reassuring when the world seems to be falling apart,, Don't lose it!

  • @rob3722100 I'm glad you like it and that you feel some connection despite the bad sound quality. This was filmed during a multi cultural concert. We usually wear whatever we feel like wearing.

  • Recently added this link to a page I created in Facebook. This amazing rendition needs to be shared as much as possible.

  • @Summernyts Thank you very much on behalf of '23 on a good night". We feel very honoured!

  • OMG you guys did really good!!!

  • 10 STARS for this video.

  • Very impressive, well done :)

  • BULA VINAKA VAKA LEVU KEMUNI

  • Truly the most amazing and BEST rendition of ISA LEI I have ever heard! Definite goosebumps <3

  • DAMN! This is very, very good ... for non-Fijians to sing this song so well. You did mix up the second verse but who cares! Lovely, lovely I am Fijian and proud of it ... I love singing the Maori farewell song but didn't know our own farewell song was sang elsewhere ... and I can tell you practised this alot ... well done!

  • beautifull....my mum is fijian and 70 years old and lives in perth australia these days, she sings this song sometimes to us....many memories attached to this song..thanks for all your efforts and for uploading it ....isa

  • Fantastic. Thankyou so much for posting. And greetings from Norfolk Island. Happy New Year Everyone.

  • I'm just absolutely gobsmacked.! I think it 's just beautiful that here you are -- a bunch of non-Fijians -- singing a Fijian classic so well and the pronounciation is impeccable! AWESOME, AWESOME STUFF! Vina Du Riki!!

  • Malie!

  • Actually you guys sang it the way it was originally sung and it is JUST BEAUTIFUL, YOUR VOICES ARE AWESOME. And I must say it is even way way better than some of the more contemporary locally grown versions....

  • Actually you guys sang it the way it was originally sung and it is JUST BEAUTIFUL, YOUR VOICES ARE AWESOME.

    WELL DONE!!

  • vinaka sa sere..rogorogo vinaka dina...

  • I keep coming back to this group, to feel the singing of the real ISA LEI ; it churns my hears and gives me goose bumps because it so close to the choir of yesteryears; in the 50's and its it a multicultural choir!!!! God sure made this a special song for everyone black, while, yellow or green, we are his people no matter what crede..........Thank you Lord for bring us together this way....

  • Wow. Is this like a choir or something? You actually sound like you are Polynesian, because of the way you pronounce the words, and you have great control over the song. Awesome.

  • mahn this is awesome..i really really missing home..thanx for this songs...hey u sing much better than some of us..respect to u ppl...really proud of u mahn...its fantastic especially far from home..isa thanx so much!!!!

  • ....... LOST FOR WORDS ..... TOTALLY SHOCKED... m fijian nd m very proud of you guys singing a fijian isa lei song... WOW.. best ive evr heard soo far!!

  • Fully RESPECT!

  • Good show!!!! I all way in Tears when I hear This song

  • I must admit that was beutifuly delivered in every way. This is not an easy song to sing in a choir because the alto!s,sprano!s,teners and bass has to be well balanced and blend. Listening to these voices rising and slowly fading away in the chorus part really hit home the presentation of this wonderfull song. As a Fijian, I am proud of all you who partake in putting this song together . I am truely blessed and thank you very very much. God bless.

  • What a truly amazing performance. Beautiful!

  • Vinnaaaaaaakaaaaaaaaa vaka levu sara, What an incredible rendition of the Fijian farewell song. So authentic. First class pronounciation too!! Wow!!

  • Whow!!!this sound is so close to the original sung in the 1950's by the Centenary Church Choir....FANTASTIC....leave us Fijians so pround of you.....thank you thank you and God Bless you for such a beautiful rendition of ISA LEI
