She's a true Democrat, not a bureaucrat. I hope she recovers fully, returns to her position in Congress and CC or OC's a weapon when in public.

Wow. Someone in congress who actually cares about the American people and is extremely bipartisan. Why do bad things happen to the most amazing people. It's not right, I can't wait to see her make a full recovery, she is one of the most strong and intelligent female figures in America. Truly my hero.

The Fed Gv't. must stop ALL illigal entries into this country. If you are not a legally admitted visitor into this country, you don't belong here, PERIOD! If you decide to hide and stay and get caught you should go to prison (not jail) and do hard labor, turning big rocks into tiny ones for minimum of 5 years. Then sent back. Drug smuglers should be shot on sight. Also, we need to start seizing Mexican Gov't. assets equivalent with the cost of arresting an illigal is.

Sending more people to patrol and guard the border isn't going to do it. The ONLY answer is to decrease the demand.

1) Fine employers that do not check resident status and hire illegal immigrants.

2) Fine landlords that do not check resident status.

3) Find a way to stop anchor babies.

4) Use the money from 1 and 2 to fund the border patrol and sending illegal immigrants back.

There is no such thing as comprehensive reform. It's amnesty, pure and simple. Any attempts to disguise it are dishonest, but then again, we are talking about congress. Ms. Giffords apparently has a pair. She's standing up to the Pelosis, the Reids, and the Obamas who want that vast pool of criminals to vote for them.

We need to not just keep adding more bodies to patrol the border, but make the illegal entries unappealing, so they will not want to cross in the first place!

We do not want to just give them food & water, and send them back across to Mexico, make it painful, unpleasant, make the fines so high that they will be deterred, otherwise they will keep coming, there is no way good way to stop them. They have broken the law, I would be punished by our US government if I did those things.

I believe border security is second in importance to immigration reform. With comprehensive reform, we can end (or dramatically curtail) the great number of people crossing the border for economic reasons. - Sent from MyU2B
