  • freestyiling

  • beautiful

  • wow *__* thats so amazing :)

  • Your composition? Beautiful, I added to my favourites...so melancholic, soothing. Keep playing, you're doing a great job! :)

  • who wrote Freestyle?

  • mozart i think ^^

  • wonderful! love it! :)

  • you hsould name this!! It's so pretty! =)

  • I'll also buy this keyboard! I just love it!

Great playing man! Enjoyed to hear it ;>

  • Wow that was good for freestyle. 5 * Job!

  • if ou want those technosounds, you should buy a synthisizer. well, it has such sounds. but not the ossizalors for a REAL technosound. this instrument is for pianoplay at its best ^^

  • amazing man :) i want to get this keyboard aswell and i need to know one lil thing: does it have technosounds? those u hear in trance-songs. And are there really 500 voices, cause i have no idea what this Xglit means whats standing in there :P thanks!

  • That was very good.

  • '"Hey, was this really impro or is it an existing track? This is awesome, you could get famous with it, if you make an mp3 out of it. "

    +1

  • What is the difference between a Yamaha YPG-625 and a Yamaha DGX-620? Good playing by the way, please reply.

  • i think ypg625 is the american name and dgx620 the european, but they're the same instrument. i may be wrong about this though. Also thought you might know that the DGX630 is out very soon!

  • Hey, was this really impro or is it an existing track? This is awesome, you could get famous with it, if you make an mp3 out of it.

  • haha thanks, this is improv.

when i have time i'll write out what i did. thanks for listening & the comments!

  • yea man, thats pretty good. i got a vid of me improvising (somewhat) in e minor, too. it's not as good as yours, but check it out. i just want someone's opinion, no what i'm sayin?....leave a comment too, thanks.

  • That was great. :O

  • That sounds amazing.

The only thing annoying is the thumping the heavy keys are making.

  • u r good

  • can anyone tell me if the keyboard is attached to the stand... cos i'm starting to wonder why they dont sell without the stand...

  • yes it is attached to a stand. =]

  • thanks... but can it be REMOVED from the stand. Someone told me you couldn't remove them. Thinking of getting one, but i've got a stand i don't want to get rid of.

  • yeah the stand is a build it yourself kinda thing and you can screw the piano into place. but if you don't want it you can just let that part be.

  • thanks a lot... That's cleared up a lot of things for me.

    Nice playing by the way.

  • I had to listen to it again today! Your music is just so good! :-) and so well played. i especially love the bit at 3sec-10 sec.

and 23sec-50 sec, and 1.05min-1.20min. but the whole thing is just perfect! :-) And especially the bit at 2.36min-2.45min which is haughtingly beautiful. lol sorry i probably sound like a stalker ! haha.

i will have to keep listening to it, and see if i can copy it or figure out the notes! hehe :)

  • Haha ^^; thanks a lot! I'm glad you really like it.

Btw, when you get your DGX-620 & find out what notes I'm playing, please do tell me. I'd like to play it again/write it down =D

  • you're welcome :-)

oh I don't think I would ever be able to figure it out! seems very complicated!! and i have no experience in playing music by ear. if there's any chance, it would have to be down to you figureing it out :-) but i will try :-)

6 days to go, till i buy my dgx620 :-)

  • Very good for improvision. Congrats! Try throwing some chords in there like in a lower octive to give it a gloomy feeling maybe. Just to change it up and not play the same pattern over and over again. Just suggestion. Experiment!

  • Thanks! Yep, for sure. When I'm unsure of myself I stick to the same chords over and over again, I know its a bad habit but I'm trying to change that. Got any tips on how to start moving on to the different chords?

  • I wasn't thinking about acturally throwing different chords in. I was more thinking about littlerally using the left hand and hitting some solid chords with the melody playing on top. It's a minor feeling song, I can tell that. However, I can't tell what key it is. If you tell me, I might be able ot help.

  • Never mind. I'm an idiot. The key is E minor as said by the title. DUH! LOL. I'll respond in a couple of days when I have time.

  • Thanks for telling me about the key notes. that's reassuring. and thank you for the advice about the lessons on the piano, that's great,. I am very excited about getting it! hehe..

So how did you learn to play the piano?

  • I hope your piano buying goes well! And happy birthday soon =D best wishes with it.

My mom took me to lessons every week since I was 7ish. That was to play the basics of piano, RCM-type music. I quit that when I entered high school, but still play the music that I like, and occasionally make things up as I go along

  • Thank you :-) Yep, me too!

That is great you learnt to play the piano. it's such an amazing thing to be able to play the piano. I can't wait to start learning with the DGX620! I'm excited about the lessons that come with the piano :-)

  • I have done alot of research and I have decided on getting the Yamaha DGX620. Going to buy it next week as a birthday gift to myself lol! I dont know how to play though, I am going to teach myself through books and online lessons and then save up for real lessons. Someone said something about the keys making a noise? Is it very obvious? or is it okay? So the DGX620 feels like a real piano? :-)

  • thank you very much ^^!

yep it was something i made up on the spot.

the key noise is -okay- not THAT noticeable when you're playing. the DGX620 comes with some songs that you can learn to play. you see that blue screen? there's an option on there to pick music and it'll display the music for you. also they give you lessons level 1 - 3, left and right hand. then both. its quite a neat keyboard once you find all the different functions!

  • WOW you made that up on the spot! that is soooo AMAZING!! it sounds like a piece of music that should be in one of those epic romantic films! it's one of the most beautiful pieces of music I have ever heard. you have real talent there!! you should get it recorded or something :-) I would definately buy it!!! :-)

    how did you improvise that?

Can you send me the notes of it? but it's totally cool if you can't :-)

    Great job!

  • haha thanks ^^;

i'm glad you enjoyed it! but i'm sorry to say i can't tell you the notes, because i honestly don't remember them myself. but what i can tell you is the chord progression for the left hand.

Emin, Cmaj, Dmaj, Bmin or something very close to that xD

when i improvise i first find a chord progression that i use for the rest of the piece, boring i know, but it works. then usually for the right hand it will just go off and do whatever sounds good. xD

  • great thanks for the chords! :-)

well it was a pleasure to listen to it!

Thanks for the reply. and I look forward to hearing more freestyle music from ya!

  • Wow that was soooo beautiful!!:-) I am so impressed? that was so brilliantly played! I loved it. Is that a piece of music you just made up yourself? Sorry I am a complete newbie to piano playing and music sheets! I am guessing because you said Freestyle, it's stuff you made up yourself?

  • sorry thats not meant to be a question mark after impressed, meant to be an exclamation mark!

  • dgx-620 :P Whats the cost on that thing ?:D

  • around $1000

  • You can find it for around $500-$800 now.

  • i have DGX-620 its really great piano but the only problem i have is when you hit any key there is asound like drum under each key , its noisy but not that big deal , i think i can hear it also in your piano , do you have this problem ??

  • Isn't it just the sound of the keys bottoming out. Just turn it up, thats what i do :D

  • I've got a DGX620 and have just started having lessons. Can't wait til i can play at this sort of level, sounds wonderful!

  • ilovemyanks

The keyboard is removable. I had one recently.

    Dimensions: 140 x 46 x 15cm

    Weight of keyboard 18kg.

I think with the stand the weight is: 25.5kg

  • is that keyboard removable?

  • Your stuff is all great!

    Nice piano playing!

But would you be willing to take a request?

Do you think you might be able to do the Silent Hill theme on this?

[I've been dieing to hear it on a DGX-620! Saving up for on emyself =D]

No prob if you can't, though.

  • haha thanks

i've never actually played the game so i don't know the theme at all. if sheet music was found for it...i could attempt it. but i have no promises xDD

hope you get your DGX-620 soon, its a beauty.

  • oi! you're not actually playing. its prerecorded

  • Nope, I'm actually playing it. If the audio is off then it is a video problem. But I can promise you I never fake piano playing.

  • woops. my bad

  • I have a Yamaha DGX 505, which wsa the latest model when I got it. Is yours fully-weighted? It sounds fully-wieghted lol. Nice job, but I'd play around a bit more with chords. I was much like you 5 years ago, so I can relate to the frustrating moment in which you have something in your head and you can't get it through your fingers. Just explore a little more, do a progression that you're not familiar with, and you'll get better.

  • Im very satisfied with my dgx 620.

    dgx ftw ! <3

  • (to conclude),The action itself is noisy, and you'll hear the clunks (as the key returns) when playing at low volume levels. If playing with earphones late at night, someone in the next room may still hear those 'clunks'. You can hear the clunks on this piece actually. The piano samples (sounds) are great, but many of the other samples (organs, horns, etc) are only fair. The unit has a lot of added features, and for the money, it's a very good unit.

  • I have a 625, and here's my take. The keys feel substantial, solid, no rocking side to side. The keys are weighted similar to a piano, but there is no what I call a 'flip' feel like a real piano, cause there's no inertial lever action mechanism inside to simulate the feel of a piano mechanism. You only get that in the way more expensive units, Roland and high end Yamahas. But it has a good feel to it, nonetheless. (continued)

  • Does it feel the same as playing a normal piano?

I mean, the weight of the keys and the touch sensitivity?

I'm thinking of buying one and I got from this video that it sounds awesome!

  • Whats the difference between this keyboard and the dgx-520?

  • I'm thinking in to buy a DGX-620. How is the weight of the keys? Is it really like piano keys?

  • I bought one recently. It is a piano. and you have a lot of other things that makes it better than a piano. i mean the voices, styles, songs, the realistic sound and you can connect a flash memory! i recomend it.

  • It is like real piano keys. It is beautiful =D

  • i love this keyboard! i dont have it.. but at first i wanted the 505...and then the 520. but then i really like this one... lol. so i am thinking im getting it. it sounds like a real piano... and good job on playing..

  • so that means your keyboard have dynamics!

  • I wanna get a yamaha but not sure which one I should get. What is the sound level your on? Not the loudest I hope haha. Let me know.

  • i usually play with it a little more than half way (sound volume knob) =] this piano plays very nicely.

  • does it come with dynamics?

  • it will recognize when you're playing harder/softer. you can try it at those music stores =]

  • this one is like $850 US, at costco.

  • Sounds truly amazing, I'm falling in love with that machine :) I really have to get 1. Very nicely played also, my compliments

  • it's a cool piano, got mine last year, and its great. i would recommend to any piano player serious about music

  • i got mine in february and its fantastic

  • sounds great!!....i have the same piano/keyboard and i really like the touch and feel of the GHS keys plus the 500 voices =D hehe i got mine for 979 CDN

  • how much is it

  • I really love this, make more ^^ lol

  • i have the dgx-505. and its rubbish.

  • Hello! Really touching piece...so much emotion, passion put in those notes....pls check out my songs...I have the same model:DGX-620...It's a very good digital piano...

  • hey, just saving up for one of these at the moment, got a few questions about the keyboard. Is it a good deal? and how portable is it? nice playing btw

  • Its a very good buy.

Portablility...depends on whether or not you put the stand to hold it up on. Otherwise, I'd still say its pretty heavy to carry around/moving it too much can just increase its chances of getting damaged. With this kind of build, you'd hate to see any kind of scratch on the wood.

  • Thanks everyone! ^_^!

  • Very nice, Enjoyed very much

  • Lovely playing. At first I thought you were actually 'pretending', but then I realised that the camera sound was slightly out of sync. Sorry.

  • Em is love. one my favourite keys to play in nowadays... Amajor is gone! =O

  • nice playing man..im getting one of those keyboards in couple months

  • hey had gr8 fun improvising at home over the top of that. very cool

  • HI. I ordered the same model yesteraday. I can't play piano, but i want to learn it. I played accordion vary long and i hope that will help me to learn playing piano .

    You play very well!
