But why does'nt either of them mush appeare in each others series ?? I know Hercules did appeare once on the Xena series. But question is, where is Hercules in the Xena series, does he even exist, does Xena know who he is? Same goes for Hercules why doesn't he regularly appeare in Xena serieis, they could have worked together as a team can't they since their both good guys.

@shamim13333 You should watch again since you 'forgot' everything. There are synopsis for both shows all over the place online. As well as more in depth histories. Google it! And, yes the characters of Xena and Hercules existed in each other's respective worlds. They aren't on regularly on each other shows because this is entertainment! A business! There were two shows to generate a win for producers. It's about that little thing called money! And this is the way the writers wrote it!

Divide and conquer. They both can "do good" in different areas. It was planned perfect. Xena with a female sidekick companion and Hercules with his male sidekick

Could somebody tell me what the deal is between Hercules and Xena ? Why do both have their own series, do they both exist in each others story of the series ? Did both series come out together. @shamim13333 Hercules TLJ (series) started in 1995 after 5 tv movies. The character of Xena first appeared in Hercules in 1995 in the episodes Warrior Princess, The Gauntlet, and Unchained Heart. On the strength of those appearances, Xena was then spun off into her own show later that year(September 1995). There were a few more cross-overs of characters unto each show over the next few years. @shamim13333 Klippart answered better than I ever could, but there's another reason more private for the separation of the two characters: Kevin Sorbo did NOT like the way the show was going, was pissed at the writers for making it confusing (is it serious or comedic? Does Zena have the same power and strength as Herc?) things like that. Lucy is a martial arts expert so they wanted to use it to advantage, ratings, gain an audience for her own show, etc. Mainly, it's was one hero too many.

Thank You:) Yup, those two scenes are extended. They're not in the boxed series sets. The were on a separate dvd released by Universal Pictures, call the "Xena Trilogy". It has Warrior Princess, The Gauntlet, and Unchained Heart on it.

they both really fit so well. Xena could only be with a strong man, emotionally and physically. Hercules was perfect, he was tall and muscular and sexy. he fought her and beat her and he conquered her heart. so romantic in a warrior kind of way.

@Maxxorguy1 The characters would've torn themselves apart, it wasn't meant to be I'd say. From the beginning you feel the lust, passion, hidden beneath Zena's hate. But marry? They were two strong personalities who needed their own life course. It couldn't work. Good premise though.

God I miss these two. Such an incredibly intense and chemistry ladden couple. I need to buy the Xena intro trilogy just so I can rewatch these scenes. Could never get into Xena after season one and things started getting weird with Gabby and then the crap really hit the fan with all the time jumping. grrrr.

Everything is from Hercules the Xena trilogy dvd pack from Universal pictures. This consisted of "Warrior Princess", "The Gauntlet", and "Unchained Heart." These seens aren't on the season 1 release of the Hercules series by david/panzer/anderson merchandising group that is commonly seen in stores.I beleive you can find it at amazon and ebay.
