I love the way that young girl is reasoning. The jobs that Kenyans in America have to do to make ends meet are jobs that they are often embarrassed to discuss with Kenyans back home. The Kenyan government is letting Kenyans down because the truth is that there are no jobs and that's the only reason Kenyans even think about migrating. The education these young kids have is too valuable to let go to waste. Hopefully they'll find work and not come to the US which is NOT what it's made out to be.

Any young kenyan hoping to come to America will have his mind expanded to a very high level....your scope of thinking, and your life vision will definately be expanded. But, trust me, its very stressfull in america.....90% of kenyans in the west are currently trapped...in the systems of this countries...no one wants to go back home a broke person, so they keep toiling in low level dead jobs just to keep aroof over their heads while maintaning an illusion of success founded on debt....
Im a kenyan, i live in dallas tx.. If u have your life well planned, and you are making good money in kenya, dont make the mistake of living your job to come here. Every kenyan dream in the west, is to try hard , make money and go back home and live a comfortable life. Its cheap and very exiting in kenya...but it will take you to come over here to realise what a beautiful country you have in kenya. Money does not grow on trees in america....and its damn too expensive n stressful. Mark ma words.

You can do way more in an emerging economy than in a developed one because you can create new things whereas in a developed one you are competing with giants. Trust me America is not what it used to be. Even Americans are looking for opportunities in developing countries. Add racism and it ain't worth the trouble.

Each and everyone of u has a point, me specifically my life did improve by coming here coz I couldn't afford school there... but the things some pple go through here, we as the diaspora never even tell u the way it is...
They are all very smart but the women are right about getting educated and then going to another country to use you your genius to make another country already ahead get further ahead off of your homeland,never to return and help that country out.
@MemphisPhilantropist ;u forget that the usa will always be ahead of kenya but by them staying in usa they are still helping the kenyan economy by sending money home,u know they'll make say 50,000 per yr in usa compared to 8,000 per yr with a degree in kenya.another thing is they 're wrong about pple not wanting certain jobs bcos americans won't work for 7$ per hour when they know the job should be paying 12 per hour so they hire pple from other countrys to do it bcos thats big money to them.
