Written by Orville Harris and Don Cuff, this song was originally recorded by Steve Pardy on his 1974 LP Good Ol' Newfie Outhouse / Steve Pardy And The Country Telstars. Dick Nolan recorded it in 1975. Thanks for sharing. :-)
@ericthered139 CN Bus is on the album "Fisherman's Boy", this song is not. I have the record. I play it on a Dorchester record player I bought in St. John's in 1977; obviously there is no way to connect such an old machine to my computer to upload it.
People connect record players to computers all the time. Usually newer machines, however. I don't know exactly how it is done. I'd sure like to find out tho. haha
@NovaScotian1992 A modern turntable with the proper jacks could be connected. I don't know, but possibly somebody could make a patch cord which would connect the speaker jacks to the computer. I could record it on a video camera, but the sound would be degraded and any outside noises would be picked up.
Hey Twillick, I have the album containing the original song, sung by Steve Party & Country Telstars. The song was written by Orvill Harris & Don Cuff, ( Who's picture is on the cover) formally of Bonavista Bay.

Great tune, I used to go see him at the Horseshoe Tavern in Toronto, in the 60's.

I remember this from when I was a kid also.... but I'd like to have the CN Bus... it's on the same album, I think.
