My 01 GT which only has cat back exaust pulled 250 HP on a mustang dyno in STL. The shop suggested to add 8% for a Dynojet number. That would give me about 270+/- HP. I will take it to get a second opinion (at another shop in town) in a couple of weeks and post the results if anyone is interested.
Stock ford said they run 265 hp. Iam new to this and trying to learn. Why so little hp with bolt ons shouldn't you be running like 300 hp. Please let me know why ty
@davidtbrown19799 this is my close friends car, runs pretty good but this was also on a mustang dyno, so there is a load on the rollers simulating street situations instead of the typical dynojet where it is just freewheel. mustang dynos have lower ratings than most other dyno setups which is why it is so low, although i also believe it should be higher even on the mustang dyno
nice car , ford say they have 265 factory hp out the lot. ok i am just getting into the whole mustang thing and with all the bolt ons shouldn't you be pushing 300hp. I dont know much about cars and am learning. why so little hp when its suppose to push that bone stock
my car looks exactly like this one, same year n color. thats weird that you only got 242 w/o the nitrous. A GT is said to be @ about 260 stock. I havent got mine dyno'ed yet but I heard it aint cheap to get that done. i only got a K&N CAI and o/r x-pipe, but im gonna get a throttle body and underdrive pulleys next.
Nice Stang man! But why are your numbers kinda low?Your Stang has a few more mods on motor more than mine and my Stang put down 245rwhp and 285rwhtq.with just a throttle body and Coldair Intake.Stock hpipe and magnaflow mufflers. Regardless,nice car man.
The car has colder plugs that were gapped a little much when it was dynoed, and that seemed to hurt its power. It also made the car run really rich which made it a lot safer for the nitrous but ultimately hurt power output.
It was dynoed on MustangDyno. You didnt say if your numbers were on a Dynojet or what, but the MustangDyno read about 15% lower than dynojet. So if yours was dynojet, just subtract the 15% to compare numbers with mine.
Definitely was a Mustang Dyno. But my car was running a bit lean due to all the air going in and not enough fuel so i got to get it tuned or buy a handheld tuner like diablosport or sct.
the way it tunes your maf it lowers the air going into your intake rather than making it higher you will get some performance out of it i would stay with the dyno tune its the same thing as the sct tuner butthe dyno will get your numbers right every time the tuner you will have to try severall times
Yeah. It wasn't too expensive to dyno since it was our clubs dyno day. I was going to fill them on the way to Omaha, but no shops were open since it was a Saturday......

@davidtbrown19799 265 hp from the factor is rated at the crank. to the wheels it can be anywhere from 220-240 (factory freak) depending on the car

you should be getting more than 242 on just bolt ons man
i have around 260 hp. and i only have intake, throttle body with plenum and ehxaust

Yeah, that was my bad. (Its my car in the video.) Had my good bottle and a spare with me, and both had less than a pound left in them. Oops.
