I got to see a rare version of Coonskin back in March 2003 in San Jose, Ca. at the Cinequest film festival. Mr. Bakshi was there to introduce it and it was a rare version indeed. Since then, I've been hoping to see this alternative edit on the big screen again. I wonder if this was the same one.

Ralph had a book signing for Unfiltered at the Animazing Gallery in Soho, NYC. I found out about the Anthology Film Archives even there. His website, ralphbakshi (dot) com is also a great place to keep up to date with his appearances and work.

Seeing it in a theater introduced by Ralph was a massive experience! The signing after was very cool as well. I finally got my Hey Good Lookin' poster autographed. Ralph is the man!
