  • What the! that's not a cutting board, that's a branch.

  • I would care less to watch cleanliness in road side restaurants. You should watch the movie WAITING and see the American way of cooking in extra clean and bacteria free restaurants.

  • please sprinkle live ants on my omelette . :-)

  • Non veg food with extra protein

  • grose there were bugs as he was cutting ewwww

0:24 into the video omg if i see this i will not b able to eat geez

  • I like my eggs with a side order of ants.

  • I don't care how much bacteria high cooking at high temperatures kills, I do not want ants in my food!

  • I'm as fussy as anyone, but the high frying temperature required to cook an omelette would kill the ants and any bacteria they were carrying. I hope!

  • this is not the indian way to cook . i am indian and i dont eat like this . thats fucking disgusting .

  • @Bluebryumyum You might be belonging to middle calss or upper one. This is indian way of cooking for the low class, you will see every where aunts crawling in small eating places, people are so used of it that they dont feel it as bad.

  • Am i seeing ants on the cutting board ??????

  • @fpeshi2009 Cutting board???? He is chopping those onions on a Bottle Gourd. Hehehehehehehehe

  • YEEEWWWWWW....

I saw ants crawling all over the food....So much for Indian Hygene standard Eh?

  • @pundadah whats wrong with ants? people eat fukkan bugs bigger than ants all over asia!

  • Eugh, you can see the flies crawlinga ll over it. Never been to india and not been sick

  • too many tiny insects there when he is cutting onions

  • flavored with black ants ... ha ha ha ... call it omlette black ants masala

  • And you didnt get Delhi belly?

  • Everyone from the trip was eating this wonderful food, from this little place, it tasted wonderfully good! and this is not written in irony:)

I think there is absolutely no one can understand or grasp how life is lived at Tranquebar. It is the loveliest place in India!

I've been there 3 times, and hopes one day to get there again:)

  • buggy omelette? Rich in protein for sure...and yes, stronger immune system required

  • 0:24 bugs!!!..ewww XD

  • I would never ever eat that egg with tiny little ants.....that's why the restaurant is close.

    No hygiene..

  • Umm... Why is everybody ignoring the fact that there were bloody insects hundreds of them all over his hands and the food? Surely this outweighs how nice it must be? I wonder how many would eat like this in their own house, but just because it's in India all of a sudden we don't care about basic hygiene?

  • The food looks good but they need pest control.

  • YUKKK

  • stronger immune system that i need to eat that huhuhu

  • HAHA Amazing.. check out at 0:33, the guy is cutting without even looking! hehe

  • It is not ants but Special Ayurvedic pepper which can fly and it is good for the eyes. Prevent cataracts, retina problems and ultimately rejuvenate the eyes.

  • you have gone to the lowest grade subhuman restaurant!!

  • along with the bugs that are crawling all over the cutting board, or shall i say bamboo root?, are fingernails and fingers a part of the recipe....huh...???? i love indian food just kidding!

  • Never have I seen so many gnats

  • is there sanatizing

  • here eat some ants with the omelete and didn't wash his hands after he went to the bathroom.

  • Did you see all the bugs?

  • Are those ants or small flies all over the onions? I think I'll skip breakfast today.

  • So many ants! Maybe he thinks they are his Aunts.

  • check out where that guy is cutting the onion that place is full ants

  • u shoulda said south indian, their speaking thamel. lol shyt the bugs add taste

  • Damn, you can see so many ants crawling when he was cutting the onion

  • Oooh, extra ants added to the omelette = more proteinz

  • Everything looked good except for all the insects crawling around the onions being chopped. BARF

  • @chisaoboy hopefully you don't like tomato sauce/paste or spaghetti sauce...which contains a lot more bugs...you just don't see them.

  • Those ants are perfectly fine for consumption. I had them take over my lemonade once, and I was just too lazy and annoyed to make more, drank it ants and all and I am still alive. The omelettes do look good.

  • That guys smile makes me a little nervous about the omlet ...

  • lol , he didnot wash his hands after scratch his as*

  • what they are talking about??lot of bugs in food.no good for your health

  • It's not omelet, ... it's murtabak. They don't even bother to wash the banana stem. i can see the ants. so u eat the ants together with the onion and the eggs. The eggs can be the filling for this murtabak as well.

  • it's actually nice to explore such places...dey genrally hve yum food...i am an indian but don kno what they are sayin in d vid coz its either tamil or telgu...south indian lang n i only kno hindi n punjabi!

  • it's actually nice to explore such places...dey genrally hve yum food...i am an indian but don kno what they are sayin in d vid coz its either tamil or telgu...south indian lang n i only kno hindi n punjabi!

  • makes me hungry!

  • @videograf.... he is saying that "even if they loose the count of one 'parotta', they will loose 3 rupees from their profit." so he is asking them to count the 'parotta or flour cakes' before they are being prepared

  • omg....bugs !! yuk

  • The waitor then shouts out to another waitor inside "hey.. did he ask for 2 omelettes" and then without waiting for confirmation tells the cook "yep.. 2 more .. so make it a total of 4". Finally, the onion-guy calls up the cook "hey (younger) brother.. brother". The song in the background sounds familiar; from an 80s Tamil movie.

  • First statement is unclear; Waitor intervenes asking about the total for a group of 4 people whole the supplier/manager is doing something else.. Manager says "that's it.. that's exactly what I am talking about.. don't intervene and confuse me about totals when I am counting something else". Waitor then tells the cook "so.. make it 4 omelettes, the guy in there is asking for 2 more".

  • Many words are not clear; Four people in the video; the cook is making parota (flaky, layered bread) and also the omelettes, one guy is slicing onions on a banana stem - he must be an intern; otherwise he would be cooking. one guy not seen in the video is supplying these 'parota' things (flaky, layered bread) and then the waitor; also not seen in the video. The place is Tharangampadi, the Danish set up a branch of their company in 17th century. contd.

  • gandu

  • @mrceebees14 ...ur so right!! he duz!!!

  • Please... someone.. write here what they are saying in the start of the video?? :)

  • they are saying that, when serving no one should disturb them as they may loose count of how many parotas they have served. thats what i can make out. hope this helped.

  • @MrDice3 - They are talking about "oru parota and mundru parota". This was filmed in Tamil Nadu it seems. Guys speak in Tamil.

  • @videograf they are just talking about normal stuff.... like the price of food, and they were also talking about their boss, but im not sure what they said!! : P

  • So there's ants...big deal? Americans are funny...what's even funnier is I'm saying that and I'm American. I would still eat this over Mcdonalds...lets see do you want nature or chemicals made in a laboratory on your food? hmm think I'll take nature, even if it is crawling lol

  • you can get it with little animals... no extra charge

  • ants = protein

  • this is ridiculious,, all indians are not like this,,

  • gotta love hygiene.

  • they seem to cook to the eggs for a very long time! did it not tasted overdone?
