You're leaving out of consideration one important fact, the bible says a lot of things other than just claiming witches are satan worshipers -- such as commanding we put gay people and brides that aren't virgins to death. If you believe one part, you should believe all.

I don't believe the new testament that refers to us now talks about doing any of this. And believe it or not the king james verson dates back when king james stood agianst the catholic church and brought in scribes to translate the bilbe from herbrew and greek to our language and king james was gay now I forgot what point I was trying to make :D
