The singer's name is Bill Bartlett. One of the best guitarists I have ever heard. We used to see this band every week at a local Oxford OH bar. Before they were Ram Jam, they were Starstruck, Beechwood Farm and the Lemon Pipers (of Green Tambourine fame).

This is the original Starstruck version of Black Betty. It stands out as far superior to the chopped up crap version that their producers put out on the radio. Be warned: itunes & amazon have the crappy radio version, not this version.
