My personal favourate is Starting off with Jewelcrafting and Mining, maxing out Jewelcrafting then swapping mining for enchanting and maxing that out too.

You can buy mats, create rings and DE them making a huge proffit with Enchanting mats.

- There are many other combinations as well, depending on your style.

You could gather mats for AH as well, in which case mining and herb collecting is a good money make with epic flyer in northrend.

Well the point is that best way to earn gold @72 is to level up to 80 -> all the quests will give you a lot of gold ;)
