It sure is something, that Patrick Stewart can play a nutball in American Dad and still have fun with it. It's like having Christopher Lee as a regular in South Park.

And no, I don't count Adam West as the Family Guy Mayor. Mostly because he's already a certified and proud nutball in real life.

I love the fact that when we see Stewart outside of Star Trek shows he still - as an individual - lives up to our expectations of Picard; He retains the same decency, the same well mannered speech, the same good attitude. Far too often an actor/actress will star as a pleasant character on film, only to appear later on in person looking and acting like a slob an idiot, a fool, or even a downright criminal. Patrick Stewart is a breath of fresh air.
