thanks for posting this was my 2nd concert as a kid , i missed them at wembley the year before . i was so happy to have got a ticket for this spectacular show , my mates mum took us, as my mate and i were only 12..it brings back such happy memories , even the support band alex harvey did a version of crazy horses which blew our socks off.
@towser06 rearly ! then you have know understanding of greatness or true showman ship, jea lea was one of our great bass men and noddy,,, well if you ever stood in front of that man ,well ,that voice could rip you rhead off!!!! the greatest live band ive ever seen or worked with, and that number 87 and counting. dont comment till your mouth is full!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
great stuff, I couldnt get a ticket for this gig. but I did see them at Hammy O,now the APollo 81 and 82 if my memory serves me right.............thanks for posting grey, this is top quality
Incredible!!! Been a Slade fan since this day early July '73...was a 15 yr. old yank startin' a bike tour of Eng.-Fra. Saw all the teenage Brits walking around Earls court (nr.youth hostel) and wondrin' what all the costumes and mirror'd top hats waz all about! Didn't tak'me long to find out! Thx greywolf!
i was a hardcore fan of Slade since I was 10, now Im 37, quite young, and been from Mexico City, rather weird, this it's been my favorite song since then, still gIve me the chills
@morfo1010 Hey morfa greetings from an older Slade fan, mate they really rocked. Back in the day they really were the bollox, and todays Britain is influenced by them.
Like Tony below, I ran out and bought the Slade album after watching them on Rock Concert, back in my high school daze. ...and I wore the grooves out of it!
This is wondeful after 37 years to see this performance. Back in the state this show was broascast on Don Kirshners Rock Concert. The next day I ran to the record store and purshaed Sladest, my first Slade LP. i was fortunate to see them live 4 time in the NYC area.
This superb recording brings my lost memories up to 11 mins. Damn, it's absolutely fan-bloody-tastic. The video is so clear and Holder seems almost magical...... so in control of everything. I shall get some speakers attached later and hear the audio too. Gawd bless yer Mr Wolfie sir and a very Merry Xmas to you and yours. ;-)
He is still alive but his Fiance died in the crash, hence the term fatal!

We all called Dave Hill "Horse" in '73, and you can see why! He plays a mean guitar, anyway. :)
