Sounds like you may be using too thin a pick. If you want that deep resonant tone, try going with a 1mm or higher pick. The thicker the pick, the thicker the tone. It's really helped me quite a bit! Great review.

You got a darn nice guitar for a little over $400. It will only sound better and better as time goes by. Play the devil out of it!
